Very clean. Sharp,but in my opinion the 66-67Riv, is the most breath taking vehicle GM ever put out,67,is the #1 because of the 430-Wildcat!!,I do own a 67, so I’m a touch bias’s 🌟
Thank you, It depends on your taste... My preference is for the 68. The 67's have exactly the same engine as the 68. The 430 equipped the Riviera from 67 to 69! The Wildcat engine is a 425 and not a 430, the latter was installed on the 66 Riviera and on the first generation.
In 1968 I was 23 years old and wanted THIS CAR WITH A PASSION. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford it. So, I did buy my next favorite. A 1968 Buick GS400 Convertable in the EXACT same color. RED with a white top and white interior ! I loved it ! Chrome mag wheels which were standard. My car payment was only $82.00 a month ! Can you believe that ? PS....My salary at the time was $325.00 a month working for a Savings and Loan !

Great car they do not show more Buick and Oldsmobile muscle cars, which may not be the proper term for this type of vehicle because of the elegances it shows.

Engine needs rebuild soon , like now
Either exhaust leak or the typical rocker arm oil starvation on the driver's side due to the front cam bearing oil passage plugged up.
Nothing wrong with the engine , just needs exhaust manifold gaskets, more likely they are still the originals . Beautiful Riviera especially with the rare white vinyl to compliment that awesome white interior. Style , luxury and performance in one package.!

Ideally between 9 and 11, and you should not have more than one bar difference between all the cylinders. For my part, during this control, one of my cylinders gave only 4 bars... Since then, I have rebuilt the engine. I restarted it for the first time last week. I haven't checked the compressions yet.

looking good! how did you fix the lack of compression and is it difficult to get spare parts in europe?
The entire engine has been completely rebuilt. I had broken piston rings and my crankshaft was dead!! I had to find one in the US. All the parts come from the US. You can find almost all of them without too much difficulty. All in all, they are not too expensive. What is expensive is the shipping and taxes (France)!!!!
