Agregar más complejidad no ayudará al modelo cuando su primicia en sí no está clara. Deberían enfocarse en modelos de rendimiento de equipo y estrategias tacticas

I don't normally comment but couldn't help myself here... Firstly you need a new narrator, that guys selling nothing. Secondly, how much data is going into this model? 1 league, 1 season? 1 league, 10 seasons? Or 140 leagues over a number of years? My concern is using let's say OBOS-ligaen (Norway 2nd division) data on a player that competes in the top 5 leagues and regular Champions League football, Man City, perhaps. That short pass you have quantified as 98% may be completed 98% of the time in lower league football but I guarantee you that same pass doesn't get completed 98% of the time at the highest level of football. I'm also presuming you're binning the pitch into sections and finding the average pass completion to and from each bin? I was doing this in 2017, so technology and data collection may have moved beyond that now. I'm not hating, just have genuine questions that any club would have. Keep smashing it, Statsbomb.

Does it take into account a players emotions? Whether a team is up by 1 Goal? Down by 3? Team expectations?

Great talk! Exciting times ahead

The other day I was watching a webinar about combining Behavioral Science & ML. So the presenter described how they accomplished it by building a database with hundreds and hundreds of A/B test results with various params and then used it as a data for ML models to predict the best params for a new task. Might be the approach football clubs test for evaluating and making their decisions, i.e. creating the same database based on their previous decisions and feed it to ML models.

Very interesting example of keeping track of how you arrived to a particular decision. It reminded me a scene from Billions, where a lawyer realized that she was played by a colleague by doing her weekly decisions review.
