She is more human than color...but she recognizes both of her heritages. I think it made her stronger and wiser. One of the true great beauties.

There is one other thing I love a lot about Chaka Khan other than her talented voice and her longest beautiful hair, unlike these female artists, she doesn't have to stip down her clothing just to prove to her audience she can sing. You will not find any artist like Chaka Khan or Aretha Franklin and late Natalie Cole. Both of these ladies are a wonderful artist. I'm so proud that I was born and I grew up from the Old School. And, now, Chaka Khan is Blue Old School, because I love the Blues now.

Genetically speaking, this woman seems to have it all: appearance, great voice, acting ability, and as a person, seems so very nice. And she is mixed race, proving I think anyway that mixing race, among other good things, ends the "us" and "them" thinking. After all, if we want to stick with "ours" and "theirs" then is she half ours, or half theirs, both or neither? Maybe just "a person" mixed--as most if not all of us are--or will become.

One Question... i was in Hollywood in 1980, i think it was Roxy Theatre... listening to "The Crusaders" with Randy Crawford and "Street Life". And Tom Browne as support act with "Jamaica Funk".
