the simplest way to make wooden ashtray

#wooden ashtray #wood craft #handmade #simple diy
It looks great! And my first reaction was that I might do this for my aunt as well! But then realised that it might not be the most practical thing actually because if you have light up candles, you cannot empty your ashtray
Hi whats that tool your using at the end for the the grooves in the edges? And whatre you using to smooth out the wood. Do you have any suggestions for a beginner wanting to make an ashtray. Thank you!
simplest way??? Not a chance!!! You made that a lot harder than it should be...
Great approach, i luv to learn new ways of doing things, my only advice would be to fast foward when your cutting the log. Speed up to the good parts!
Great idea for the back patio
You might start by getting a decent hole saw.

Haceme uno para mi si
Es muy fácil de hacer, pruébalo tú mismo y disfruta haciéndolo.
Why not just take a slice off the core you removed and use that as the bottom??
I used a thin cut of the wood itself for the bottom cover because I didn't have the facilities to hollow out the inside of the log.
Gonna make one for my grandma thanks for the idea here
Very good ☺️
This video is amazing 😄, keep up the good work!
Thank you very much. I'm happy to introduce you to your friends🙏❤️
What finish are you using here?
Oh my God!! I never would've thought of fire charring it. That is an amazing idea!! Beautiful!
Yes, this is an attractive method

Thank you for sharing.Nice work👊
How difficult is it to do this with a hard wood?
The softer the wood, the easier your job is, but it is also possible with hard wood
What was the liquid ? I have everything but Don't know what to coat it with.
I've just watched a few videos making wooden ashtrays and you're the only one I've seen hog out the middle so early in the process and I think that's pretty genius!
Nice one
Looks amazing

What kind of power saw tool was that?
Do you mean the jigsaw? Or the brand? It looks like a Bosch but I might be wrong.

@@mosocarpentry4980 wood stain would work as well..im guessing.
@red vegiesoup Yes, you can use anything to make it shiny, but it is better to use natural oils such as sesame oil.☺️
