World’s Largest Abandoned Stadium!
Просмотров 114Год назад
The world’s largest abandoned stadium, being build by the third reich in 1937 and postponed until after the war, it was designed to hold over 420,000 people. This was just the testing area with only concrete foundations left but it is still pretty cool! #abandoned #history #germany #WW2

Another of the bunkers I found on a long hike in Bavaria! This one is incredible with hun ports that with a little WD-40 would probably still open and shut! #abandoned #worldwar2 #ww2 #army
Destroyed Church I thought was a castle!

Today we go over a church that I thought was a castle (who knows why) it’s beautiful sandstone construction and history is pretty incredible, at one point there was a whole town built around it! #abandoned #war #urbanexploration #explore #church

Abandoned and Collapsed Railroad Tunnel!
What railroad was this shop complex part of? It's a really interesting sight to see dual turntables these days, let alone dual roundhouses!
Slurry impoundment at the top is where all the dirty water and mud goes after the coal is processed. Then they pump the clean water off the top once the fines settle.
Sprouse Creek Coal, Lobata, West Virginia...The mine ran out of enough producing coal...This locomotive was scrapped in early summer of 2024.
Dude you could make so much money by jsut selling some thing from there lol. Cool vid
Wish i knew where this was. I'm in Southern West Virginia coal fields.Would love to visit this one! I've been to a few myself.
The Sprouse Creek coal processing plant along State Route 49 at Lobata (near Matewan), in Mingo County, West Virginia
This kind of mine operation stripped the mountain tops off ? And also underground drifts? Looks a big operation
Believe it or not there was a medal of honor winner who came from Thurmond. His name was Charles Rogers. He attended a black school in Mount Hope called Dubois. There is a bridge in the Chimney Corner area of Fayette County that is named after him.
Excellent video.
Thank you very much!
First :)
cool place, and a shame it's shut down, had some nice style to it
Yes you are! Thanks for the watch and the comment!
Very nice cheers Steve
Never seen a Locomotives turntable before😮 very cool explore, looked like a fun place to check out
Awesome video, place is Mega huge, thanks for sharing this and good to see you back :)
There's one of these in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. During WWII it guarded the mouth to the harbor where the submarine base was and still is located. Today it's Odiorne Point State Park. Some of the military infrastructure is still there, such as the underground ammunition storage bunker and the observation bunker that's located on top of a man-made hill.
Awesome! I’ll have to visit that one!
That has to rank number one in railway forgotten history.
Maybe not number one, but certainly up there! More on it next week!
Gernany
You need better lights
You are so right! I certainly do!
Its a church awesome
I wonder if it was damaged or cut off from active track by the WW2 bombing in the German/Italian occupation.
It could have been! Although judging by the size of the trees, I suspect it was more recent!
Where is this place?
It’s in Europe!
@@Abandonedhijinks Ok, where in Europe?
This is awesome. I need to do more exploring
Always more exploring to do! Can’t get enough time in the day!
What planet is that place on?? No disgusting graffiti, no poop! I have never seen any abandoned place so pristine. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing, looking forward to next week in the big building!
I’m always impressed when I find a pristine place myself, they are few and far between!
Awesome find great history. Cheers from Blissfield New Brunswick Canada. Keep them coming 😁
Thank you very much! I will have more to come for sure!
Hawt
So mysterious place
What a shame.Everything just left behind for vandals to ransack.
It is a shame to be sure! She’s being left alone for the most part but it would be cool to give it another chance at life!
Really cool video! Just discovered your channel and subscribed!👍
neat to see while it still stands👍still has the mounting rails👍
Awesome old church explore👍 wonder what went down there? war times?
Yes WW2 was a rough time for this place!
Where is this mines at?
This one is in the Appalachian mountains
I agree with this question. The title says exploring an abandoned mine but you never showed a mine at all.
The Sprouse Creek coal processing plant along State Route 49 at Lobata (near Matewan), in Mingo County, West Virginia
very Kool👍 would be neat to metal detect that zone
Awesome site😮 getting rough but still very cool to check out👍
Thanks! I certainly thought so, a fun hike as well!
I visited Bavaria when i was in the army.
Beautiful Area!
One of the best finds ever!! Loved this
Thank you! I thought it was pretty neat myself!
How did you find out it was a church and not a castle?
Looking at the structure, and reading about it online (mostly stopping being an idiot) pro tip, just don’t be an idiot!
It definitely looks like a church to me because of the shape of the windows
Maybe need a better light. I need one too.
Oh the best part is I have the better light, I just keep forgetting to grab it before I leave! Gotta work on checking my list of exploration tools!
If some American production company ever decides to remake the infamous British horror film Eden Lake (2008) Thurmond would be the PERFECT place to shoot it!
I’ll have to watch it!
The movie Matewan was filmed here.
What was the orange stick on top?
It’s just a marker I believe for directions
Just a little fella!
Just a wee lad!
Missed this one too👍🙂
Glad you caught it now!
Missed this one, very cool explore👍👍
Thanks! Trying to do two videos a week now, a shorter one and a bigger one!

Pump house maybe? and are the fish trapped in those bins? then, you exposed yourself!! lol Enjoyed man👍 keep up the good work🙂
For when the urge strikes!
Cool site👍 and had a nice look with the overcast and snow, enjoyed🙂
Glad you enjoyed it! I can’t seem to shake the snow on my recent adventures!
Where is this?
On the east coast!
@@Abandonedhijinks So how did you find it? I won’t give away the location.
that's pretty incredible. someone has to live there, if it's only to keep an eye on the town so stupid people don't destroy everything. just a modern time, soto speak, ghost town. very interesting and sad at the same time.
It is pretty incredible and pretty sad! It’s a mix of volunteers and contractors who maintain everything, I believe there are roughly 5 residents currently from what I could find online. It seems like between the railroad and it being owned by the national park service they have some presence as well. There are cameras everywhere so I believe that may help manage the crime! Thanks for watching!
Very interesting looks just like a rail town of yesterday thanks for the video appreciate it
Thanks for watching!
When does the Josey Wales ride thru?.....
About 330 AM if you stay up late and pay close attention!
