Cherry Shrimp 101: Essential Facts for Beginners
Here are five facts about cherry shrimp:
Vibrant Coloration: Cherry shrimp (Neocaridina davidi var. "red") are known for their vibrant red coloration, which is where they get their name. However, they can also exhibit other colors, such as orange, yellow, and even occasionally blue or black, due to selective breeding.
Small Size: Cherry shrimp are relatively small freshwater crustaceans, typically growing to around 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 cm) in length when fully grown. Their small size makes them suitable for a wide range of aquarium setups, including nano tanks.
Omnivorous Diet: Cherry shrimp are omnivores and will feed on a variety of food sources, including algae, biofilm, detritus, ...

** I NEARLY KILL ALL MY AQUARIUM PLANTS- Tropica Plant Growth Substrate
Просмотров 11 тыс.5 лет назад
Having not read the instructions (typical man) I put this substrate in the aquarium without capping it. Now I have seen people using Tropica substrate and not capping it but be very careful which one you select to do that with. If you choose this one (Tropica Plant Growth Substrate) which is like a fine powder almost dust then it MUST BE CAPPED with either a sand or gravel. Having spoken to a f...

Damm
Tag call of duty mobile for wut?😅😅😅
People like you
That was sick
Thanks man! I kinda knew where he was as he had just killed me 😂😂
@@All_about_aquariumsBut still it’s impressive you still got him
@@TrophicArt95369 he’d been there a while 😂😂
@@All_about_aquariums Hahaha but you know you’re still pretty good so
You shouldn't plant anubias that's why it probably rotted
Yeah I think it was wedged in the wood or rocks! The issue was the substrate wasn’t capped and was leeching too much into the water column
Nice. What's the music?
It was one on iMovie so I’m not sure the name, sorry.
Music volume 10.... Voice volume 5
Lol
It is really only beneficial to use aqua soils for dry start carpet plants. I dry started mine 110 gallon tank with monte carlo carpets. Let them grow in the dry for 2 month before I flooded the tank. Even then I used a ton of GFO and pond plants to strip the phosphate the nitrates lol...These soils are so insanely rich in soil I honestly don't know how people use them without dry start.
Some of them can be used “raw” however the issue with this one was that it had to be capped and I didn’t do that!
This is not true, check out my latest video with tropica aquasoil, did you read the instructions that in the beginning you have to do alot of water changes ?
Your alkaline is way way to low because of the soil and the log .
You don’t need to cap it off
Why not? In fact it can help keep ammonia levels at balance if capped of with river sand or other gravel substrate
I nearly KILLED all my fish ... not kill
To be honest mate with so few plants I would not have bothered, under gravel substrates are mainly for densely planted tanks you’d of been better off using the tropica all in one in this setup.
Thank you for highlighting your mistake so others won't. Your tank looks lovely.
These were reclassified around March 2019 to be Corydoras granti, Corydoras arcuatus is not as common and often under the name 'super arcuatus'.
That’s good to know, I will have a look I got his, thanks
Hi :) I invited You for my channel :) You have a beauty corydoras :)
Thanks 🙏
Yes I had a massive algae bloom in my office tank!!! !!! Thanks for tip super helpful for when I set up my home tank this week!!
Let me know how it goes 👍🏼
@@All_about_aquariums went great! Just put some neons in yesterday, plants look amazing. Great tip!
I'm never watching any of your videos again. It's your voice. It's so irritating.
That was really helpful 👍🏼
That was very helpful
Does it have to be gravel or can It be sand?
Jamie Richards can be either mate, just needs something to cap it
So basically you can't be bothered to read and think and you're blaming that on tropica? OK, I see.
Jeroen Wijnands 😂😂😂 not at all which is why I said in the video it was my fault, did you even watch it?’
To be fair, he didn't HAVE to upload his mistake. He could have just made a new video with no faults. I'd say it's more valuable to beginners as it is - it'll make sure people double check to read the label. As for the killing, that was probably due to the N most likely coming from ammonia in the powder.
To be fair.. I'm looking at my bag now .. and it doesn't say it needs to be capped!
You didn’t need to cap the tropica MD fish tanks makes these tanks all the time. Your hk alkalinity buffer in your water is not strong enough. You should of tested before adding. Should always start with nails too. It was probably not even cycled
Nice of him to send you out some more. Tanks looking good 👌
Simply Shrimps yeah really nice guy!! Thanks mate 😁
Nice. I saw some variegated anubia somewhere
I’ve seen a few cool ones, need to get another tank up really and just buy them as and when I see them
I wish I'd have known in advance that the show was on and I probably would have driven down - looked like another good one.
Pondguru that’s a shame, maybe see you at the next one in a couple of years?
@@All_about_aquariums Maybe but by then I will have done so many of the Pimp my Filter videos that every manufacturer will be chasing me around the place with axes screaming "What do you mean our filter is crap???!!" lol
Pondguru Hahahaha, you’ll need to hire some security
@@All_about_aquariums It would be funny to turn up like a Mafia Don with an entourage of heavies and make a video where I told the manufacturers what is wrong with their filters but I'd rather concentrate on making videos showing what can be done to make them work better and hope that the manufacturers take some ideas and implement them for the good of their customers - most don't but some definitely have and as people get more educated about filtration they will vote with their wallets when deciding what their next filter is going to be. Sizing filters - even if they made that realistic or had some sort of industry standard would make the difference between fish living well or dying in a tank of their own waste. Sorry man, I can feel a 60 minute speech coming on so I will end it there, I have loads of orders to box up, lol
@@All_about_aquariums P.S. give me a ring on 07772848730 if you have a sump as I've got some sump bricks which didn't come out the right colour to give away.
Omg I'm in your video I'm famous!
Everyday Aquarist 😂😂😂
Great summary 😄
