Best performance by far!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
Excellent lesson, thank you!
You're very welcome! Happy practicing!
Thanks a lot for this video. Pls, would you tell me something about the shoulder pad, and why do you use it?
Yes, I made mine to support the violin and allow it to move around. The shoulder rest stabilizes the violin and provides support so it doesn't slip from side to side or keep facing downward.

Thank you.
You're welcome!
Brilliantly performed! Such pure articulation and control, thank you for sharing.

You are boring with your bla bla... Please play on your violin and late talk briefly yiyr point. HU HU... I wasted my time.
I am self-taught for the past few years. I have this piece, along with the Saint-Saëns B minor Violin Concerto and Ysaÿe's Unaccompanied Sonata in A minor, scheduled for my LTCL exam in 2025. Thank you for your video! I know a video on the concerto would be too long to make, but if you could make one on the Ysaÿe Sonata, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
It’s great to hear you are studying such challenging repertoire! I will keep your suggestion in mind! Happy practicing and good luck with your LTCL exam!
Thank you
You're welcome!
My issue is that my pinky is double jointed along with my ring finger so it’s more difficult to keep my finger from pushing out
I understand. I'd still suggest trying to relax your pinky and do the exercises at the beginning of the full video in my channel so it doesn't get stiff and make the bow grip lock your wrist and arm.
@ thank you! I really appreciate the advice and thank you for being so nice about it!!
I liked your saying to think the violin fit into place of my body and the bow beeing the extention part of my arm. I once had the feeling as to embrace my violin kind of creating a circle. ❤ But this experience is still quite new to me because I am just playing a few years. Thank you so much for your kind advice ❤🫶
Glad this video resonated with you. I like the idea of embracing the violin as well! As you keep spending time with your violin, you'll get more comfortable with it! Happy practicing! :)
Bravissimo!!! ❤❤❤ the piano was also very touching ❤🥹🫶
Thanks for listening! :)
So beautiful and sad. Really expressive💕
Thank you for watching 💗

I’ve been wanting to relearn violin for quite some time. Glad I stumbled over here. Do you also have any channel recommendations for flutes? I also want to get back into that :(
Welcome to my channel! Not sure about a flute channel. You’ll find the right one for you! :)
Lance Suzuki and Jasmine Choi would be a few flute channels I’d recommend. Glad you’re getting back into playing :)
For me Among 4 fingers the most important finger is 1st finger. Which control the positions and vibrato. Next one is 2nd finger . Next is 3rd.
Yes, all 4 fingers are essential and equally important, as they all play a role in playing the violin! I'd suggest making sure your pinky is comfortable and ready to play in tune when you set up your hand frame.
I've just begun your upload but already I identify with you. I am a B/Music graduate of Sydney Conservatorium in Classical Guitar Performance and took up the violin, as a second instrument, about 30 years ago. I 'FEEL' the timbre or the 'heart beat' of the note(whatever you want to call it), not just hear the note, and at 1.20 that's where I really 'hear' what you are imparting to us - NOT just teaching us, and I can't wait for the next 30 mins. Finishing the upload I feel that you are sent to impart your knowledge to those us even past 1st post,. I so I very much enjoyed your wisdom. As already said, I'm a new subscriber, to a new imparter of knowledge of the violin. Thank you, - Mark, from Australia.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and words! Also, welcome to my channel! So happy to hear that this video resonated with you! Happy practicing! :)

Hi! I wanna ask is it possible to heal violin hickey or is it possible for it to heal itself? Thank you.
You can put a cloth between your violin and neck/chin to avoid that or heal from it. I sometimes use it, but most of the time, I don't.

as my school orchestra teacher once told us.. "hearing and listening are not the same thing. do you know the difference?"
Yes, I agree. Listening requires more of really paying attention to the sound you hear.
❤
I realize that you see grief in the music. But, are you religious at all? Are you aware of the nature of Catholicism and Lutheranism in that period? There is a great deal of suffering in the life of Jesus and the repentance required of the church. It is when you truly experience the awe of God that you can more deeply appreciate Bach. Let the awe of The love of God guide your playing. Then you will have a new insight into this person whom Pablo Casals referred to as the GOD of music.
Yes, I believe in God and I honor how Bach was dedicated to glorify God through his music. One of the reasons why his music is so special and sacred. Thank you for watching this video and writing your comment! :)

I think I am holding bow too tight. After awhile, my first 3 fingers get numb on the ends. Very troublesome.
Oh that’s not good. But glad you noticed the tightness! Practice bow hold exercises to make your fingers soften enough to be able to move the joints while holding the bow.

I’m off to practice this technique and super tips . My goal is to play those scales in tune and faster . 3rd finger tip is great and makes total sense .
Glad you found these tips helpful! Happy practicing!! :)
