I was a Disciple in this church back in the mid 90’s in Los Angeles. I loved it. Straight out of high school pretty much,they got me into an apartment with roommates & I had the time of my life. I met men & women that normally would’ve never been friends with,was exposed to dfrnt types of ppl & I believe I gained from my experience. Was it hard core? Ya pretty much. Was there pressure to invite total strangers to service or Bible Study all the time? Yes. But I get it. They were trying to grow . Trying to save the world. I saw my shyness & reluctance to invite ppl as a personal flaw. Anyway I left after 4 years. Never looked back. And no regrets about any of it. Like I said, loved it.

People might criticize the Church of Christ because it's very structured. It's not perfect. But nothing is ever perfect. Better to be saved than not.

Let me point out that the so-called "International Church of Christ" is branded as cultish or cult-like by the mainline church of Christ (the one with millions of members) in the United States. I am a member of the latter and know all about the former. Steer clear of them: they are similar to Baptists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and the like.

I was in the SF church, great people, sincere, really wanting to know God ，but as soon as you get into leadership, you become an amway sailsperson. I believe God works in that church, but it becomes a slippery slope when you think you're the only church... Great place to start. You go deep into the bible (their interpretation of course) ,but you go deep. Great people that become culty by accident. Thanks to them, I'm now a Buddhist

The true church is Church of Christ(Iglesia ni Cristo) that founded by Brother Felix Manalo in the Philippines. Try to search.

Watching that man preaching is so cringy and he uses personal information about another person that wasn't his right to share in front of a whole crowd! He seems so above everyone else claiming 'you cannot be a Christian if you do ABC'. So tell me, can you be a Christian/disciple if you live deceiving people, directing them to rely on man, gaslighting and being arrogant, reaching vulnerable people who feel alone or have faced personal crisis or issues, preaching in rage and zeal without knowledge? I could keep going....

Nice video! I think it pretty much proves that this church isn't a "dangerous cult" but a group of sincere people trying their best to follow God's word. Check it out for yourself before you judge. Remember the first century church in Acts was called a "dangerous sect". Maybe they are doing something right?
