Great video, and good inspiration. I never used the eclipse before, but am also a beginner in 3D design. Watched a lot of videos, and designed a few smaller things, but to get it to stick to the mind, actual designing using the different methods is of course needed. So I took the chance and designed a mug based on the mug I had in front of me. Worked out great! Though not perfect in relation to sketches at all, as none of them are actually fully defined / locked…. For whatever reason the fit spline in the very first sketch refuses to go fully defined / black. Rest, no issues… but the spline…. I followed the video, I clicked the connections from the top line, and again at the bottom when I reached this. I did not use a construction line in the middle, but even trying this for a moment, and sketching some dimension etc. did not get it fully defined. When editing the sketch, of course the splines can move / be dragged, but I believe this should be possible to adjust? Normally if a line can move, it is not fully defined of course. So not sure what to do there. Definitely need to get better at spotting the issues when not getting the sketches to become fully defined.

Hi there. I’m glad you enjoyed it. With your spline issues, is there anything selected in the sketch palette? When it’s undefined, what does it look like? Does the internal boundary shade in blue when the sketch is complete? Thanks again

@@MrDMassey Thanks for the reply! When I look at this sketch, which is used for the Revolve command afterwards, then the sketch does have the blue shade internally. The top, right side and bottom lines are black, but the spline is blue with the 5 spline points (including where it snap at the bottom and top) are black. I have added dimensions at the first mentioned 3 lines, but nothing on the spline, but I do not think this is needed? Not sure what to dimension there as it is not a straight line. I thought maybe a coincident constraint may be needed, or well got a feeling some kind of constraint is what is missing. Though the curve of the spline at the op og bottom - well the whole thing is how I want it, so just need to fix the spline in place enough to keep Fusion happy. :) The right line has a vertical constraint, and between this and the 2 other lines there are perpendicular constraints. When I hover the mouse over the top and bottom points that are connected between the spline and the top / bottom lines, a coincident constraint shows up. If I click the spline, the sketch palette shows a V in everything except slice and 3D sketch. Centerline can obviously not be selected, and also it is not a construction line. Bottom right in Fusion shows 1 sketch fit point spline , Lenght 106.931 mm.
