I think you should get to know the names of these animals , I’m a Belizean hunter, some names were not right , but thanks anyway
Thank you Dave. We are actually working on a new version of this because of a few of these issues! So please stay turned for version 2!
I apreciated to videos show wildlife
Thank you! We have more coming soon!
Iwas there in belize for first time 1980 ,first town live 3 years orange walk
Beautiful area of Belize! We often go to Birds Eye View Lodge and then head up to Orange Walk
В нашей конторе приветствуется иногда начальству задницу показать
Retired living in Santa Elena, Cayo Belize. I'm interested in helping out if needed.
Thank you! Since you are in Belize it may be easiest if you reached out to one of our partners, such as the Belize Zoo and Belize Raptor Center, to do some volunteer work - they are always interested. Feel free to contact us though if you need more help from us!
They definitely don't live in Chile lol.
Very cool 👍
Thanks 👍
Great video ! Thanks for posting !
The Belize Raptor Center does amazing work!
Where are the videos????
these are photos from our trail camera projects.
Could you tell from your research if a puma or jaguar is the apex predator there ? Because the north/central american jaguar is way smaller than the south American subspecies. North arizona/mexico 50kg - pantanal/brazil jaguars 160kg
That is an excellent question, and we are going to have to ask the experts at the Belize Zoo for an answer (we will get back to you!)
How do interactions between pumas and Jaguars usually go?
It is our understanding that they are very rare, even though they exist in the same regions of Belize
I've noticed some trail cameras in the trees aswell. And jaguars do travel in packs!
Nice!
𝓅𝓇𝑜𝓂𝑜𝓈𝓂
what's the best way too reach out to you? I'm headed to Belize next month and want to spend some time photographing and learning about the animals and especially jaguars in the jungle.
If I retire to Belize, I'll look you guys up and volunteer. Very valuable work.
Quel animal intéressant. Merci pour le partage de cette vidéo. Bonne continuation !
Inspire Edventures . I do camera trapping in the UK ( England ) . What type of battery do you use vin your cameras . Mine keep dying .
to be honest, we just rely on local guides to replace the batteries every few months. But, we are thinking of moving to solar cameras. What do you think?
Extreme Lithium batteries are recommended for long life.
Jaguarundis are not a big cat species they are a small cat species. For a cat species to be classified as a big cat they have to have a floating hyoid bone which is what allows them to roar. Small cat species have an attached hyoid bone which allows them to purr and meow..which is why cheetahs are technically small cats. Even though people will argue that cheetahs are big cats
You are correct Luke, we were not really aiming for a classification, but just calling them "big" as by size. We are hoping to update this video again soon and will make that correction. Thanks!
Also, cougars (officially small cats) are bigger than leopards (officially big cats).
I came across one of these cats on a motorcycle ride in Barton Creek, Belize. It was crossing the jungle road about 100 ft in front of me. No lie my hair on my arms was standing on end. It was low to the ground and creeping along. Then gone. I was scared Sh#&less for a moment. It was great. I feel honored.
I used to have all these animals on my property, however my neighbours made sure they were all killed. Belize has no conservation
Liessssssssssss
That is SO SAD , poor animals 😢
My country is small but beautiful
What is a gretercurso
@5:42 is a puma...well two of them actually
Thank you!
@3:39 not a gibnut but an agouti, the diurnal cousin of the lowland paca, aka gibnut, which is mostly nocturnal.
Agree
Thank you!!
we are updating this video this winter and will male the change! Thanks!
Really cool to see such a density of diverse wildlife in one small area! I had the pleasure of visiting Belize a few years ago and came upon some motion cameras in Bokawina national park, I wonder what they captured? Thanks for sharing your research.
I imagine that what they recorded is very close to what we did - check out this video ruclips.net/video/8jYmnTvFGtA/видео.html . We also post on our Instagram site!
I don't know... but I would love to see what they found!!
GREAT IDEA!!!
