    I thought of a question, when you mean an initial offering, is this related to what you mean tienes in another video about doing like a demonstration with a hypothetical scenario? Or are these different things?

      An initial offering is literally just something that you are ready to sell. A small package, a workshop, a program of some kind. I think what you're thinking about is from a video I made about free-workshops - that's a different thing. 😊

    Good insights there. It can feel like as leader you need to direct everything. Control everything. Like everything is on you. But that's but inefficient, unrealistic, and counter productive. A good leader provides unified vision and direction. Delegated responsibility. Facilitates communication. Your job isn't to crack the whip. If things only happen when you MAKE it happen, you've already lost. You have to get people behind your vision you can trust, and then empower them to enact your vision.

  • @AlMi-tu7cl
    @AlMi-tu7cl 5 месяцев назад

    People need to know they are there to do the job,if they can follow simple instructions then they are useless.

    • @riplikash
      @riplikash 5 месяцев назад

      Look, i know this may come across as somewhat inflammatory, for which i apologize, but If that's where you are as a leader you've already lost. Or you're leading an effort so trivial it barely qualifies a "leadership". It's just "supervising". Instructing people on what to do isn't "leadership". A leader sets direction and delegates responsibility. If you have people who can't be trusted with that responsability...well, that's on you. Find better people. Or find a better way to deal with the situation. If you're dealing with any moderately complicated endeavor and you have to personally direct how everything is to be done, you've lost before you've even begun.

      @riplikash when they applied for a job they knew what it was to be expected of them,they play the victim card they can go back where they came from ,stop wasting people's time ,grown up are not kids ,it's not motivation they need it's discipline

      @riplikash 5 месяцев назад

      @AlMi-tu7cl again, no offense intended, but it's like you didn't actually read anything said. That whole post was based on the assumption that they're adults and not kids, that people can and will self motivate, and that a good leader therefore focuses on direction and organizing, trusting others to self direct, rather than giving explicit instructions. I would argue instead that your whole argument IS about treating people as children. In my experience motivating people really isn't very hard. Treating them as competent adults, giving them responsibility and trust, and paying them decently is generally more than enough. It's DEMOTIVATING people that you have to watch out for. And that almost always comes from bad leadership: poor organization, poor communication, poor direction, creating a culture of assigning blame, micromanaging, babysitting, not sharing rewards, not providing growth opportunity, not extending trust, etc. all does a great job of making productive, motivated partners into unmotivated serfs who don't see any point in trying. Sorry, but the whole attitude you're projecting is something I've seen destroy teams and departments time and again. It's a self fulfilling prophecy. Like his someone who is always paranoid about being cheated on and suspecting/accusing their partner of infidelity ends up always BEING cheated on. I mean, seriously, "it's not motivation people need, it's discipline?" You talk about needing people to be be adults not children. But then you describe literally treating them as children. You don't get to "discipline" adults in any meaningful way. That's not how business or the adult world works. Literally the ONLY power you have is the power to motivate, either with money or opportunity. The only "discipline" you can meaningfully apply is giving them less motivation to do things for you i.e. paying less (which is all firing really is) This is a childish mentality on working with adults.

    These are great tips! It's so important to remember that deviating from your pre-planned agenda WILL happen to some extent. I always have to remind myself of that- nothing worst than a facilitator who is really stressed by their own agenda/timings. No one knows how ambitious your agenda is other than you... so relax!
