Hi guys, welcome to my dental journey!
I am a D3 dental student at Herman Ostrow's School of Dentistry of USC. My passion for dentistry bloomed early on in my life through the many visits I had to the dental office. Curiosity with the human anatomy and physiology further pushed me into exploring the field of health care and I quickly set my sights on dentistry. In my opinion, dentistry is the multilayered practical practice that will allow me to incorporate intellect and skill through my hands to help others improve their way of living.

This trimester has been much different than any other finals week I have had, and if you have been following along, you will definitely notice the difference! They were all slightly different and required different measurements and properties which was interesting to compare. It kind of depends on how the rest of your application looks. How is your GPA? Community service hours? Letter of Recs are meaningful? The personal statement is another factor. Send me a DM on Instagram and we can talk more about it. Good luck!!

@@KJ-yo9utI think your GPA is good and I wouldn’t stress too much about your scores. However it all depends on what other things you have on your application. They really look for things that make you unique/stand out.

I volunteer with 2 organizations: school on wheels and coachart. Both had a similar focus, so I’d suggest finding something that you genuinely like or are interested in doing! :) hope that helps.

How did you guys get scrubs before orientation started? Did you buy them on your own on top of the 5 pairs Ostrow gives you?
I had some prior since I was working at a dental office. It is not required in the beginning, you can wear business casual instead. I would personally recommend getting a pair if you can. Good luck!
