Generate your MonoBeam Stairs in Fusion 360
Просмотров 811Год назад
MonoBeam Stairs are one of the most popular modern feature stairs and Fusion 360 can generate them faster with a little setup. Here I show my setup for a Monobeam Stairs (some call them Monorail) so you can plug in your numbers and generate a decent drawing. Of course. You should play with it a little to gain familiarity. model available for download (Railing not included) linkup.shop/teknicad

Creating Stairs with Fusion 360 (without Driven Dimensions)
Просмотров 13 тыс.5 лет назад
Tutorial to create a simple closed stringer stairs using the pattern function to generate adjustable stairs similar to using driven dimensions ability in popular software like Solidworks or Inventor. Update: I have updated my stairs to adjust automatically with the hypotenuse formula in the equation editor. You can see how it works here: ruclips.net/video/J5hb1l0sBpU/видео.html Or download it h...
I have a paid version, but when I try to configure the cabinet there are no options to do so.
Did you get this to work? I would purchase this cabinet pack as well but I dont know what a Fusion Professional subscription is? Is your subscription just a paid yearly subscription?
The library will only operate from a team or Hub folder. you can create one from the top left hand corner dropdown where you account name is.
Hello can this be converted to metric in millimeters? i need to use it in millimeters
Sorry. the library is only in imperial but you can enter dimensions in metric.
I just purchased and trying to find the part numbers for the drawer runners. Blum Tandem and Movento are mentioned. Can you please provide a list of the Blum part numbers?
I afraid my library is rather basic in that regard.
Hi is there a way to lnk the parameters to a roo, for example if the top trimmer where you land the stairsand the back wall ended up longer after a survey could you have it calulate a new run and ampunt of treads? this way you can design the stairs prior to knowing the final dimensions and then after a survey you can just input the floor to floor and overall length.
of course. That's the magic of parametric CAD. This can be implemented especially with the derive "control" file.
Wow , amazing work! I have a current project that’s is single stringer winder style that does 180 gonna be quite the task to figure out
This is pretty amazing. I would like to purchase this except I do not know what Fusion Pro is? What is the difference in that and the Basic yearly subscription? Also wondering if you can adjust the perimeters to lets say a 36" deep by 34" tall? Large Cabinets.
This library uses configurations which are not available in the free version of Fusion
@@teknicadcadstudio I think I am missing something. I do not have a free version of Fusion 360 BUT I have never seen a "PRO" Version of Fusion? I do have a yearly subscription to Fusion 360 that I pay. There is also a "MANUFACTURING" Version of Fusion that is pretty expensive that I am wondering if you are considering this the "PRO" version?
Great work! Wondering if you plan to do a metric version as well, it would be fantastic:))
Yes. Rather, a metric biased version, where the units are mm bust the default measurements are set to imperial
Can these cabinets be imported in revit as a family?
No. These are only for AutoDesk Fusion
Hello, I come from the first generation Autocad world. I used to do small programming and automation projects for Autocad myself, so I know exactly how much work is involved in such a project. Since I started working with 3D printing, I have familiarised myself with Fusion 360. I really like your ideas and Cabinets, keep up the good work.
From scratch, about a month.
Pretty good work.
Is there a metric version available?
Thanks for your great work! Does Fusion360 have function for adding edge banding (and the net size will reduce) and labelling for nesting?
Edge banding can be added with a plugin called JoinerCAD
Hey i am familiar with fusion 360 if anybody needs help. Thank you for the tutorial. I am on industrial design. And checking out on construction framing. Are you on design mode? Jard to see on the video. Thanks
can this be used with the free version of fusion, or does it need to be the pro version?
You need to have a paid subscription to use configurable components which this library uses
This is nice, but can I change the parameters to have units in mm by default instead of inches?
I am currently updating the library for metric
@@teknicadcadstudio Awesome, let me know when that's done and you'll probably have a customer
@@teknicadcadstudio Let me know when it's done as you'll definitely have a new customer when you do!
@@teknicadcadstudioGreat to see! Let me know when this is done and I'll definitely become a happy customer!
@@teknicadcadstudioHey has this been done yet?
I really need a full tutorial on this. I weld these stairs and I use fusion 360 but this is way beyond what I do.
Nice work! Thx
can this, be outputted for CNC work? cut files and tool paths
Yes. The Cabinet Fusion Library can totally be nested with the arrange command or mapboards pro
Do the template files include timeline and parameters so users can adjust to local conditions (e.g) metric thicknesses, standard widths, etc
timeline and parameters are included. They are totally parametric.
In order to use configurations in Fusion 360 you must create a Team in the top left hand corner (rather than the single user storage email). This is only available on Fusion 360 paid accounts.
Great video. I work in Fusion a lot but have never used Configurations option before. Very cool! I make face frame cabinets. Would it be terribly difficult to add face frames to something like this? I know I can do it manually, but I'd love to have it incorporated into the Configurations panel like everything else you have.
I am currently working on face frame and inset cabinet configurations.
Does your cabinets have edge banding? Do you manufacture from these drawings?
No edge banding. Yes you can make good shop drawings with cutlists. I'll post a tutorial soon.
It’s would be cool to add inset and frameless to configurations
inset and frameless configurations are coming
This is so blurry it's hard to follow. How about making a version of your videos with at least 1080 resolution. 4K would be even better.
How does it handle edgebanding?
Second this.. edgebanding?
I could make it do that. upgrading it to handle all customer request is a challenge.
try woodlab cad/cam
Hello i have a question does it works with millimètres ? I am french it seams werry interresting to by your product
This Fusion 360 cabinet library is now available in the store: ko-fi.com/s/79dddd75b3
Very nice, I don't see the link you mention in the video.
Great stair tutorial, thanks for passing down the wisdom 🙏
Hi. Awesome video, you made look so easy. One of the best stairs tutorial I've seen so far. Thanks you for your knowledge 🙏
Hi Emorgan, can I download your designs in metric? You talked about a link, but I can't see any..?
did you end up figuring out the winders?
Can I change hypotenuse formula for metric drawing as well?
Firstly you need to start by creating empty components for the tread parts and the stringer. Each component will get it's own sketch based on projected geometry from the others. Tie them together with constraints. You are vastly over complicating the sketch process and disassociating the sketch from the components. This is rule number one as stated by Autodesk Fusion power user TrippyLIghting (Peter Doering): start by creating all the components first. I would also suggest to reconsider how you are using parameters, and utilitze joints, there's really no reason you should have to go update that pattern each time you make a change. All that said, you are on to something! I would just keep working to refine it into a more elegant solution.
how do you model the curved and "L" and "U" stairs? and not half done so its all ajustable from param... also anyone know how to make a bool value for params? or some way of adding options/choices?
I will be uploading compound stairs video soon.
Whoa!? Didn't realize that many people were viewing my videos. I will upload a new video soon demonstrating more stairs with fusion360
Hey ! whereare the oteher tutorials? This one is nicely explained and I need a L-shaped staircase and would like you to teach me how tho design it :-)
Will upload soon. I am working on the switchback stairs and winder.
Great explaining, easy to follow. Please do a tutorial with a u shape stair
Will do soon. I am just getting back to producing videos and a whole library of fusion 360 stairs.
great work, thank you!
Glad you liked it! Didn't realize how many people were watching. But I will be uploading more stair models soon.
How can you rotate the stairs? I need them to be in a different orientation for my deck.
you completely lost me on the stringer lol
Sorry for the late reply. You can now download the stairs in this video at: ko-fi.com/s/0af23aafbd
Thanks for this useful tutorial. it looks like you have an added utility called StairFusion. Is this included in the standard suite? Or, do I need to purchase this as an add on to Fusion?
It's not a utility. Just the name of the video theme. But you can download some fusion stairs right here: ko-fi.com/s/0af23aafbd
thanks a lot, will be nice if you keep the series.
