Three things: 1. Don't come to Paris in the first place. There is way too many pickpocketers. 2. Choose an AirBnB. Yeah the locals might hate you, but maybe they should move to a place with more affordable housing. 3. If you absolutely must come to Paris, wear 12 decoy, empty wallets at all times, with the real one taped to your crotch. That way the pickpockets get something, and you don't lose the important stuff. Though you might want to pad the real wallet to avoid chaffing.

Generalizing, in the US you pay for the room and maybe a little extra for an additional occupant. In Europe you generally pay per person. If you get a room with more beds than you've booked and are paying for, don't use them but feel lucky you got a bit of a more spacious accommodation.

One positive thing about the middle seat is that the storage space under the seat in front of you is usually not compromised. It's always the aisle or the window seat that get the tiny space to store items but usually never the middle seat.

I recently stayed there after a long drive from up north to rest for the night before a Disney Cruise. You are spot on regarding the comfort of the beds. Quite a bit on the stiff side for me. Also agree on the cleanliness of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. It is very very clean throughout. Having both a fridge and microwave in the room is a nice touch. The breakfast is good although basic but I would skip the food at the evening kickback as that is horrible. For people that like to drink, you get 3 free alcoholic beverages per evening per 21+ adult at the kickback. The food by the pool and inside at "The Kitchen + Bar" was surprisingly very good. When deciding to book, keep in mind that parking is $25 per day extra. The parking lot is gated and you will need your room key to enter and exit. It does not have that Disney feel to it but if your going to spend most of your days at the parks it could be a good thing.

My main advice for Amsterdam is always: avoid Centraal if you have luggage,if you can. It's big and crowded and you can easily walk the wrong way. Station Zuid has excellent metro, tram and bus connections to the center. Outside the working day rush, it's a lot quieter. I personally would not recommend Sloterdijk station as it is very confusing, but it also has good transit options.

I always go to the bathroom in the hotel I'm staying at before I leave for the day. After eating at a restaurant, I go to the bathroom there.
