But in the Thinking of You performance she didn't have the band on her back. In fact she plays the guitar and sings by herself (in some performances she was accompanied with the band). It's just that she gives her band a chance to perform with her, like in the I Want Candy medley where her band and dancers perform while she's on backstage.
