I feel this movie is underrated. Ok, as a young man when it came out, I finished many times to the girl girl kiss :) But it was a good movie. And the ending - Sebastian's portrait getting the last laugh on that nasty C U Next Tuesday. Sorry but I love a good revenge story where the bad guy loses. The song is perfectly choreographed too and it's not the typical Whazzup Dawg beat that is now owning people's lives

This is the one part of the movie that I have a love hate relationship with. Sebastian Valmont starts out as a womanizing villain, but after he falls in love with Annette Hargrove he becomes a redeemed antihero only to be killed because of his stepsister's cruelty. But, his death is necessary because it is the catalyst for exposing Kathryn's true nature.

I think we all long for revenge against hypocritical and tyrannical rulers. Unfortunately, only the most marginalized elite, a young high school girl in this case, can be so dramatically taken down, and only in a movie. The movie is a psychological release of pent up frustration, which makes the burden of inequality and injustice in the real world easier to bear.

One of the best revenge scenes I’ve ever seen in a movie! Sarah Michelle gellars character really got her comeuppance there. Reese got the last laugh. It’s really nice though that Ryan Philippe did get married and had two awesome children. Same with Sarah Michelle and Freddie
