Before judging my opinions, please do watch my other reviews of Salaar, Saripodaa Shanivaram and others. I try to be as impartial as possible. And my rating system is based on specific aspects of movie making as a whole. It is not just a random number out of 5 based on my personal opinion about the hero or director

@@purushothamraj9208 A movie becoming a hit has nothing to do with the movie being good or bad. I don't think Animal is a good movie... But it made a lot of money. I am a South Indian too. But just because North Indian liked Devara, the movie gets validated. Anyways, these are my opinions. I do respect your opinions too..

I definitely know that Hera Pheri is directed by the great Malayalam director Priyadarshan Sir. Hence the reference. It will make it easier for other Non-Malayalee viewers to understand what I am trying to compare. As a South Indian, I want more people to appreciate the movies from here. Hence I do the reviews in English, rather than in my mother tongue Kannada.

Even though I am a non-malayalee, I am a Kannadiga and a big movie buff. I did get the references to Drishyam, Aligiya Laila song, but not all other references. I could make out that there were references based on the audience reactions in the theatre. For example, the guest appearance of the guy who, I came to know later, is a famous actor playing the role of Krishna. I am appreciative of Malayalam movies more now as I watch more.
