If you look closely at the judges orders, it probably states that video recording in the courtrooms is prohibited, not in the entire court house. Those security guards may be trying to bamboozle the general public. Areas that are open to the public must allow video and audio recording. It's our 1st Amendment right to record our public servants during the course of their duties for accountability and transparency purposes. I don't know what the judge's orders are, since I haven't read the order. But even if the judges orders (rules and policies) ban video recording in the entire building, it is an UN-CONSTITUTIONAL order and is invalid. That judge could be opening himself up to a major law suit, especially since it restricts certain disabled people from freely entering the public spaces of the court house.
