I am a man. And this melody is so gentle, so feminine, so tender that it touches me and captivates me at every cellular level - it awakens the man and the masculine beginning in me, calls me and takes me to the place of which knowledge is genetic in all of us.

No, this is Patrick!
This is amazing
Holy shit, thank you for uploading this. I've been waiting for a cleaner version of the Season 5 soundtrack for so long.
Perhaps the best moment in the whole series; watching how these forces which put aside their differences to come together against a common enemy get pulverised from a smarter tactician
Although Inaros absolutely is a smarter tactician, I don't think that was a major factor in this battle. Even with the Sagarmatha down, there were still two Truman-class dreadnoughts for Inaros' fleet to contend with. If not for the rogue Martians, I almost wonder if the two UNN ships could have still saved the day.
@@LAJ-47FC9 I'd even argue that tactics had very little to do with Marco's victory here. The Inners lost strategically - the micrometeor swarm, the rogue Martians, Medina Station's betrayal - these were all strategic pieces that Marco put into motion weeks or months before the attack. Ultimately, all his fleet had to do was fly straight at the Inner blockade and keep them busy long enough for the other pieces to show up and knock them down.
@@DasaniVII you know, that's an entirely fair point. I wonder how much of that was Inaros and how much was Sauveterre and Duarte, in that case - while excellent with tactics, as demonstrated later, Inaros doesn't seem to reach *quite* the same level in strategic terms, which suits the natural gravity of a force lacking in numbers to guerilla tactics. Duarte and Sauveterre - especially Sauveterre - are excellent strategic minds, on the other hand, perfectly fitting to their station as former MCRN admirals.
@@LAJ-47FC9 Marco definitely orchestrated Medina Station turning on the Inners, given the station was staffed by Belters. And you're forgetting Marco also planned and executed three near-simultaneous attacks on his rivals - assassination of Fred Johnson, bombing of Mars Parliament, asteroid strike on Earth - so he's definitely got a sound strategic mind, but it's hampered by his ego of course.
@@Fr0st1989 I only saw part of your reply on my tablet's notifications and I was *really* hoping you'd said "give him some credit" so I could say "give him some credit? I ain't a bank!" Dumbass jokes aside, I don't deny that he's brilliant; he uses some Thrawn-tier tactics in the series finale with his split fleets. I'm just not entirely sure that this instance, the Ring battle, is a good example.
I've been lookin' all over for these tracks you've posted. Y'got more comin'? That'd be nice. There's one that Dylan Skie missed: The _Tachi_ launch sequence from Season 1. A _clean_ rip or recreation of that like the ones you've posted would be a godsend. It's not the most well-known piece but it's hugely underrated. Almost Terminator-esque. There's a piece after the _Tachi_ escapes and hard burns out which also has the leitmotiff. Maybe you could title it "Be Gentle With Me." Another suggestion would probably be Marco's speech claiming responsibility for the asteroid attacks, which is where we first hear his theme in full. I'd also suggest the theme which plays in BSG when _Pegasus_ saves _Galactica,_ or the stinger from the Season 7 finale when the F-302s engage Anubis's strike craft over Antarctica, but hey, one franchise at a time, right?
The 8 I posted are actually the official soundtracks since Clinton Shorter himself posted them on his website: www.clintonshorter.com These are unfortunately the only ones he has posted so far, but it does seem to suggest we could hear some of the unreleased soundtracks without an official release like was done for seasons 1-4.
@@Hello-lp8pf That's unfortunate, but hell, I'll take it. I hope he manages before someone shuts him down like they did to Martin O'Donnell.
