    those light indicate the power part of the ultrasonic cleaner is not right too much current being drawn or too little in my case i found the resistor next to the full bridge rectifier is burned you need to change that make sure you got the exact resistance or this fault will happened again.

      i was looking for video of how to repair this fault but i did not found any help i was trying to change the mosfet driver and the mosfet itself but it is the same result same as you the unit function for 10s and it will stop until i try to check the big resistor next to the 400 DC and i found it a little too much for it shown value mine was 14 Ohm while it have 100 Ohm when i test it with the multimeter. After i change it the machine work fine.

    That would make a great movie prop in a comedy film! Its actually a funny noise and movement, as if its alive and has its own character.

    Beautiful playing and nice tone from your vintage traynor. I am going to look at your exact amp a 1976 and any advice? I do know its hand wired point to point and i am done with modern disposal amps. How has your maintenance been? You also have the best happy guitar face i have ever witnessed😁. Please make more vids.

      Thanks @greggWilson. I love the happy guitar face too - this is actually a friend of mine as he's a guitarist singer songwriter and teacher, whereas I only hack at the guitar and like to fix things. As to the amp itself, it's not quite point to point wiring, it's on an eyelet board, a strip of, i don't know what, with metal eyelets running down along each side. Following the circuit is not too hard, but if you have any problems you'll need the schematic. It took me a long time to find what I needed, but if you want it send me an email and I'll send you the schematic I found, and altered slightly to make it more readable. The joy with amps like this (oldschool) is that when things go wrong, you can fix them. The components can be found and replaced, all apart from the little black box that had the tremolo in it. This was a problem for me, but given that all it is is a neon bulb and an LDR it proved pretty easy to make my own after a few experiments and now works perfectly. And yes, it does have a great tone, and all in all is a really good amp, which my friend playing agreed with - he loved it and he has the experience to know.

    Fine mic. Got the e version. Flat and detailed frequency response which gives a soft and natural result, unlike the majority of hyped dynamic mics of nowadays.

    Hi there.. I have just come across your video .. For your information, here you can download the operating instructions. www.elma-ultrasonic.com.au/wp-content/uploads/1970/01/Techspan-S-Manual.pdf There is indeed a fault. I would suggest you take it to the local agent in your country for inspection. These can be effectively repaired. Hope this is of some help. Regards, Tim Fastnedge

      @elmaUltrasonics Thanks for your comment. I do have the manual, and have tested the filter circuit board, which is good. The problem is clearly on the main board, which now won't do anything at all. I couldn't trace particular issues other than testing the larger discreet components, which all checked out fine. I'm now thinking there is a problem in one of the ics, which I can't work out as I just don't have the expertise, so I've come to the conclusion that the only way to fix the unit is to replace the main board, which I have found is available for about £150 or so which might not be so much for a £700 ultrasonic cleaner, but is still more than I want to pay at this time. Maybe in the future I'll get it.

    These are good mics. The cap was described by AKG as being made of sintered bronze and a similar material is used on the D130. However, you won't get the best out of this thing unless you connect it to a balanced XLR input or use an XLR (balanced) to unbalanced transformer. This requires some rewiring at the end of the cable or a din to XLR cable ... which may be hard to find now.

    • @elderchildren
      @elderchildren 3 года назад

      could you please explain to me the difference there? not sure what the difference is, looks like a standard connector with the XLR there?

    • @anahatamelodeon
      @anahatamelodeon 3 года назад

      @@elderchildren The mic illustrated has a DIN connector. It has three pins in a similar pattern to an XLR, but if you saw one in real life you'd realize immediately that it's smaller and the pins are thinner. Also DIN is usually wired unbalanced, with one of the pins unused, whereas XLR is wired balanced with pins + - and ground. I used to have a pair of these mics in the 1970s - mine were the 'ES' model I think - XLR and with a switch.
