The reason you died so easily is because you werent eating or drinking enough (infection wears away at both stats) and ontop of that the balance team made a bad change to apato which used to only be on diplo which makes it take 2.5x dmg to the tailbase , this combined with the bs that is elder acro means it deals 1.5k dmg to your tailbase with atleast 3k in bleed ontop of this 20% dmg variation means it can deal 20% MORE ontop of this infection will delete your stamina. my only advice is to stick in water (dont camp or camp depending on how close u are to death since apato now freezes in water) and spin before they attack you and try to use m2 on them instead of m1 (they will still out dps you thisll just help you buy time to log) also fun fact 3 elder acros mean they couldve all just bit you 3 times = 9 1.4k dmg bites and you wouldve bled out or gotten to 2k hp then they couldve finished you off , these acros werent smart also dont be afraid to eat trees infront of them since apato has attacks on both its sides so as long as you dont expose your head eating ferns you will be fine , ontop of that try to drink as much as possible, plus if your elder and you join a herd even alone you will get 2.5k hp

Apato definetly needs buff its damage output even in its elder stage is outright disrespectful even stego has more, considering the fact there adding suaro those things will kill apatos with ease, apato struggles with acros being highly dominant in its boime and growing apato to elder only makes the situation worse considering how easy it is for acro or any other pred to grow to elder.

In the next update, R.A.F 2.0. The Apatosaurus will get a rework on its attack 2 that perhaps increases the damage or the percentage of causing fractures and the attack 3 which will be the diplo stomp so stronger and more direct this will be good for the Apato to be able to fight against Saurophaganax
