Easier rear spring removal & easier rear wheel bearing unsticking from dust shield HHR
Просмотров 668 месяцев назад
The rear springs come right out if you remove pressure from both sides by lifting frame and placing jack stands properly on frame. Remove top shock bolts on both sides. The dust shield to wheel bearing assembly was stuck to dust shield until I applied a bit of heat with map torch and lightly hit with blunt air hammer.
HHR Brake Shoes spring install tip

The top brake shoe spring is behind everything. I put the adjuster, top spring, and adjuster spring on and then installed the shoes as an assembly. The emergency brake cable is easy on and off if you loosen the adjuster inside the car all the way. You have to adjust the brakes when you are done any way.
HHR Driveshaft seal race removal

Will I pulled my drivers side drive shaft and the end shaft and seal race stayed in. I was able to replace my shift solenoids and on the way back together decided to replace the driveshaft, seal and race. That race was not coming out. I had numerous fails before finding something that worked amazingly well.

John Deere F935 Deck Gear Case gear lube change
Tried your suggestion and within minutes everything was working PERFECTLY ...in fact we had two fobs that came with our car and one has never worked at all...since we order two fobs from Amazon..we thought what the heck give it a try...we did and after 3 years...that old non working fob works like a champ ...you saved us over 350 dollars from our local dealership ..THANK YOU TAHNK YOU
I have the same bike I wanna put In a fuel pump cuz it’s a loud squeaky noise and I can’t go past 80mph, the guys telling me I have a messed up gearbox cuz it’s lagging and there was metal shavings in the motor
How did it go ❤ mine is making a high pitched noise and I’m scared
did you get it figured out?
I replaced the wheel bearings, interesting I bought the genuine HD wheel bearings by part # on ebay. The ones I bought on ebay have a metal dust cover on the sealed bearings, harley now uses plastic. I could barely notice a tiny roughness on one of the old wheel bearings
What did it sound like at low speeds? I know that’s hard to describe. Mine sounds like a tight ping sort of sound on each rotation, been driving me nuts
@@MotoVirtuo i could barely hear anything
Great idea!!
My condolences, I got a Best Arc for $200 to my door and love it. I cuts 1/2 thick steel on 110V and near 1" on 220V and 50AMPS. Friends don't let friends buy harbor freight Welders or Plasma cutters. Got to Amazon or you paid 2X more then you should just so a suit in an A/C office can get rich!
😂😂😂😂😂 I can’t believe what I just watched
Sir, I'm a Harley Engine Builder but I actually repaired a similar crack for a fellow competitor one night at the dragstrip. The key is first stopping the crack from spreading by drilling a small hole at each end of the crack. I then ground a small V in the length of the crack to remove most of the damage area. I filled the tank with what little Acetone I had and turned it upside down, cleaned the tank out on the inside best we could. I took a small length of MIG welding wire and laid it into the crack, and proceeded to MIG weld the length of the crack. Yes, I always bring a portable generator and my little MIG welder to the races. We rinsed out the tank best we could with some race gas and oil mixed together and put it back on the bike. 3 years later and she's still going strong. I hope this helps and you have a blessed Holiday.
I thought about it briefly before buying a used 1. You sound highly skilled.
Very nice singing and playing, Jack! Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. God bless, Charles
Thank you for the kind words. This song came from Yellowstone I believe its by Chris Stapelton. I enjoy putting stuff up here so I can watch it and self criticize. Very small % I like how they turned out. I may try it with a softer pic next time
Love it! Is it 80w90 gear lube? Thank you!
that is what i used. I don't remember even looking it up
Having issue with my nomad. I thought a hose might have blown when my issue occurred. Took out 2 bolts put a 4x4 in between gas take. I just did it to tighten the hose clamps before I go buy a thermostat.
I'm glad you were able to make some progress with your truck. Hopefully everything else will go smoothly.

Where did you buy the gasket and o ring? I found the thermostat on eBay and new radiator cap.
I believe biker bandit is the web site
looks like fun!!
Had exact same scenario in 2018 with my 05 Nomad with about 70,000 miles on the bike. Stock pump started to whine at varying levels. Removed and replaced filter. Still whined. Bought a new pump from Quantum and installed into OEM housing. Within 2 days it whined even louder. During all of this the bike ran okay. Just super annoying whine at start up and anything under about 10 mph. So I said whatever and just rode it for over a year and almost 8000 more miles until pump began to seize under hot riding conditions 1000 miles from home on a trip. Once everything cooled off it would run again but soon as things heated up bike would quit. I end up trucking my bike home and dicked around with this scenario not 100% sure the noisy pump was actually causing my problem with the bike dying since had ran okay with noise for so long. Quantum said if pump makes excessive squeal or whine can be from clogged filter which wasn't my problem or low voltage to the pump. My voltage on bike under seat at the source connector that runs harness plugged into was 12.4 to 12.6 so was perfect. I finally said screw it and replace entire fuel pump assembly with OEM unit at cost of about $600 . All noise completely disappeared and I've put over 6000 miles on now in extreme heat riding the hell out of the bike without the slightest hesitation. I don't know if issue was resistance in wire harness of the original unit or something internal to the pump housing itself because original pump and quantum pump both squealed when the initial problem started. But with completely new OEM unit all problems went away and bike runs amazing and is reliable again. My advice to anyone with noise is replace wish factory new pump. $600 is expensive for the factory assembly but beats the hell out of being broke down. And $600 isn't really bad when you figure the thing ran for 12 years and 70,000 miles before any problems with it occurred.
Mine makes that same noise. All the time how did u fix it?
