Corey Hart has no idea how much he has meant to so many people. This song is my go to song when im down. Feeling sorry for myself lol. I put my old dog down and its so painful. My best friend my only friend is gone and just typing these words to nobody helps a little. When God made dog mans best friend I cant understand why he made their life is so short. Why sinful man has the chance of another never ending life but the sinless dog suffers through old age just to die

He's been compared to Hall & Oates, but I think Corey has a far more sly, earnest sense of humor. In '85, Corey released "Boy in the Box", his most accomplished album. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Never Surrender". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the ethics of never quitting on yourself or your dreams no matter how challenging or daunting, it's also a personal statement about the man itself.

His voice is amazing and sounds beautiful! I love this unplugged version and each word he sings is so heartfelt. I think an unplugged record would be fabulous as it showcases his voice. He doesn't have to yell out his songs because his regular singing voice is magical. Wow I was lucky to see him in Edm way back in the day but I love that he is singing and playing the piano in this version. I bet he would do great in Los Vegas in his own show.❤ hugs from Vancouver Island
