Another song i made roughly at the same time as CRUEL FATHER WINTER. Both of these were produced essentially right after SHE'LL //NEVER// RUN SILENT, which I finished mixing while I was on a trip in Japan.

The scene where Eisen admits his fear is always so emotional for me, and I dont fully know why.
I think it's because it redefines what Stark thinks about heroism. Stark thought his Master was just naturally braver than him, but when Frieren tells him Eisen felt the same doubt and fear, Stark realizes that the man he respected so much was choosing to do the brave thing in spite of feeling just like Stark. For the viewer, it's one of many times that the show stresses that heroes aren't supernaturally selected, they're just ordinary people who feel what we feel and do their best to do extraordinary things.

Yeah it's for Lawine and Kanne. Power of teamwork etc.
Overall it's meant to played for moments of "absolute victory", pretty sure composer stated it that way.

This is just such a fabulous track. The way electronic sounds to represent powerful magic are mixed with traditional instruments is nothing short of breathtaking. Fabulous job of Evan Call here!
Frieren’s literally immersed me in the fantasy world. I enjoy trashy isekai as much as the next guy, but this was next level
