Interesting insights to the unique experiences of a life drawing model. I've been a life drawing model for decades now. I started modelling to cure shyness and wound up falling in love with it. I have found it, in many ways, to be a really funny experience. First of all, much of the modelling is done in the winter with many rooms that are only partially heated. It is funny to be standing or lying there nude and shivering while the artists/students are wearing coats to protect them from the cold. Other funny experiences? How about people mistakenly entering the room while you are posing and getting the shock of their lives, or, how about an artist/student astounded to see a nude model, apparently, unaware that it is a life (nude) drawing session?

Excellent work! Thank you for sharing. The repartee between the two of you was charming. I did Life Modelling for years during the late 80's, early 90's through to around 2014 (Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Cheltenham, all over the South West). Also, did some in Leeds when I was working up there to help an artist out. I also tried my hand at life drawing. What a laugh that was! (Handcuffed crab springs to mind lol), won't be trying that again. 😊
