Helping an animal in need is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. Please help those who can't help themselves.
music isnt loud....
Shittiest oil change I've ever seen
The oil still looks black 😑
This needs to be taken down, this is not the right way to change your oil. I Appreciate the effort you put to create the video but people are going to mess up their bikes following this video
wrong wrong and wrong
You need 20w60
I was in the middle of the first oil change I have done on a new to me 2008 Hypermotard where I was going to clean the screen when I realized that I had no idea how to get the screen itself out. As usual, I was working in crappy light and I did not notice the hex inner bolt that holds the screen itself. The Ducati shop manual says, and I quote "Release and withdraw the mesh filter (7)." Zero help. So I tried a few things thinking that it would just slide out if I could get a grip on it when it became obvious that that was not going to work. I didn't hold out much hope since your bike is so much newer than mine but wa-la, there you were with the 14mm allen undoing the inner bolt. I went back to the garage and my 2008 is exactly the same. So big thanks for posting this. Appreciate the help!
Nice effort, but a few questions: 1..should the engine be warm or cold? 2. you do not have torque wrench, but some people do have those, so give the numbers on torque, filter not changed? magnetic trap screw?
You forgot the "big black filter" boy. You always change/replace this as well 😁.
the bottle states 4 cycle not 4 cylinder
Hi brother, how many liter oil use to change??
4 cycle as in 4 stroke
you have to change the dirty oil but you stick the mess filter into the dirty oil to clean it? and not change the oil filter? I'm not understanding this at all!
Good call changing that oil it looked horrid. You forgot the filter but otherwise solid video. I only use motul.
wrong bolt, did not change oil filter
Bro you changed the oil but you forgot to change the oil filter.
Ducati seems a lot of work from other bikes.
nice vid ... thx
L.O.L
I cannot hear anything cause this stupid music...
2:46 beware this oil, take a look a how many foam makes only draining. Imagine the foaming while RPM increasing, resulting in a really poor lubing
They recommended 4 cycle oil because it's a 4 cycle engine (intake, compression, power/spark, exhaust).
So many things wrong with this video. I appreciate you taking the time to share, but in addition to the comments below, use compressed air to clean the mesh filter, not a towel that can further clog the mesh.
Grande! !!Grazie per il tuo video .Fantastico 👍
Turn the fucking music off!!!!
It would be better to use a back stand
When you say at the beggining the oil it's seeming dirty.... omg do you know anything about engines and oil? because it always gets dirty really fast, in something like 3000km it can be as dark as when it reaches 10000km
I like your video, you get the oddball things about the ducati out of the way. Anyone can replace a filter. I liked that you took the magnetic metal catching plug out instead of the actual drain plug, as you have to get the metal flakes off of it anyway, just saved a step. Good video, let me know if you roll through Minnesota, we'll ride!
you removed the wrong drain bolt. The drain bolt is the one in the center. Also the oil you picked is 4 cycle not 4 cylinder.
What difference does it make which bolt you take out? looked like the oil drained. What's the advantage of using the other drain bolt? If that's not for draining the oil, what's it for?
Great Video ! I really enjoyed It - Keep up the good work , I'm looking forward to See more of you and your work 😊✊
Thanks but this was a one time thing. Thats my kid sister and her friends doing aa project for school they just had me shoot and edit it.
Believe me I'm beautiful, I find it truly amazing your simplicity and cleverness! You have the same desire to make things sa friend of mine, his name is Egidio, if you want to listen him, You can find He in my playlist! A like for youuuuuu <3 <3 <3 O_O <3 <3
Thanks for the vid! Probably going to order the oil and filter and do this next weekend.
Sorry I don't show how to change the oil filter in the video my bike isn't ready for a proper oil change but it's pretty simple unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. Make sure to take some fresh oil with ur finger and lubricate the thread.
Mobile 1 oil? Why? Ducati recommend Shell Advance or mybe MOTUL! Also is important to change the oil filter! Its cost only 15 buks.
+primmo83 i wouldn't use motul, ive tried it and it cause my clutch to slip. i went on to replace my clutch plates thinking that was the problem and no. i went to mobil 1 and it worked fine. Shell advance is hard to find out here in California but i manage to find some so i'll be going back to that on my next oil change
Pretty much no-one uses the shell stuff, a lot of the dealerships don't either. They stick those stickers on when they come to America, from my understanding they don't have them in Europe, probably a marketing deal.
How do u know? I use shell oil and I live in Eu!
I could be wrong, just going by what I read on Ducati forums before I bought my bike.
8Seven65 they have the deal with shell and the stickers are on all monsters/scramblers worldwide, maybe on all ducs
Tip, next time find yourself a piece of two wooden block, place it under the kick stand, so the bike will stay level, and replace the oil filter lol..
Thank you. I will as soon as soon as it gets warmer
Great vid.
+Petal Gause Oh, sorry, Im Gregg. It looks like my wife was logged into youtube when I posted. I had a SFS that I rode back in the Angeles forest, a lot. Post some move vids !
You should remove the other bolt in the middle under the engine which has magnet on it. You should also remove and replace the oil filter.
Pierrot0044 I learned from a few mistakes I made changing my oil that one time but the steps taken in this video still got the job done
