Most guys don't know they're wearing their toolbelts the wrong way, even with suspenders. The toolbelt is supposed to tighten at your navel, not your hips. When you use suspenders, they're only supposed to carry about 20% of the weight and are really more to keep the belt in place. Research it for yourself since it's your call but at least have the correct information in order to make a decision. Best of luck!
You’re “Right handed “ but you keep your hammer and drill on the left side of your body? Are you placing your fasteners with your dominant hand and using your less to secure them?
He totally has it set up LEFT HANDED!!!
I looked at these. Love the look and assortment of bags but honestly after going to fabric bags i couldnt use anything else. Theyre just so much lighter even if they dont last as long. Body wear and tear is more important to me then money lol
I hear you! Depending on what I do I have a lighter belt for basic needs like a tape, pencil, and pocket for one tool. I use the big one one when I need to carry more tools and fasteners. I prefer to travel light most of the time.
I started off with Occidental and switched to Buckaroo because the leather was more supple and slightly less heavy. Eventually switched to Atlas 46 but they didn't have the best pouches for electricians and their belt buckles are made of plastic. I've swapped to a diamondback belt with the Mini Niko and Flux with two Vertical Fastener Holsters from Atlas 46. I also have a Pro Flex Tape Measure Holster which is used for screws or small material. The suspenders are still from Atlas as well. This setup allows me to carry a lot of tools if necessary or just the ones I need for the task with plenty of pouches for material.
Sweet Set up I have some akribis bags as well, i actually bought a whole rig, basically bought the largest they sold and ended up cutting them up, so it's more like an apron now. I also have the modular set up, i take a Chicago screw and pin the end of the belt exactly where i want it to stay, so i never have to worry about the buckle coming undone taking them on or off. Modifying my bags has opened my eyes to trying other brands, and i want to even make a set of my own "stitched in place" akribis bags. I want them to be as light as possible, basically the R1HB mini, an a mini in the back, and an rs-8 That's a nice set of bags you have! Thanks for the review
3:45 Titanium I think. I want to try one of those hammers!
Yes @Michaelduy9055 you are correct! My bad. Get the hammer, its hard to go back to a steel hammer. Stelleto and Martinez are nice hammers but can get very expensive!
I like the rain screen, but I don't think you have flashing around those windows + doors and no drip caps at any of the headers (nor at the horizontal belly band)??? The sill pitch at windows and the rain screen isn't enough to save end grain wood butt edges. (Same issue where the vertical siding edge meets the horizontal trim piece 1 foot above the door.) You'll find out soon enough after a few years.
Thanks for the advice @dinkyshopYT. There is flashing around the windows, as for drip caps on the headers I knew that coming in when I installed them. It's a pain in the butt to get supplies because I live out of town and I was on a roll. I didn't want to spend 1/2 day doing to in town to get supplies. I'll keep an eye and make sure the paint and caulking are in good condition over the years.
It looks super nice.My journey went from Occidental Leather to Diamond Back and Badger(at present I rock a Badger belt with Diamond back pouches). Therer are 5 top brands(Occidental, Badger, Akribis, DB and Atlas 46) and any of them are amazing. They are having a tough competition between them and the beneficiaries are the costumers.
Yes, I agree @Jano8257 those are all great brands and it's all personal preference and what you are looking for!
So nice to see all of these updates!! I love the siding with the black accents. It’s looking awesome, Quan! 🤩
Also, kudos for Prince playing in the background. Your neighbour has great taste in music!! Hehe!!
Yes!!! Good to see you were able to get the roof on without blowing off!! Hahaha! Looks great!
Careful on that windy roof!! lol So cool seeing it all come together! 👏🏻👌🏻
How does the suspenders feel on the shoulders?
The suspenders feel nice I also don't load my belt up with too many faster or tools. I haven't had any issues with it being uncomfortable.
akribis look nice but I've moved away from leather. I went from occi to badger and really liking them.
Thanks, I'll have to look them up!
Great review !
Thanks! I hope it helps you.
It would be great if you added comments on what brand and pockets you got. Even a hyperlink too!
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll add the links to the description.
@@QuanPham-nt1cg - Thanks!
Love the awesome little firefighter!! 😅
It’s really coming along! Like I said, you’ll have to do an interior design series too once you decorate the inside! 😊
Great neighbour and great, little helper!!
Sounds like a great book!! LOVED your little guys cooking cameo at the end!! 😊
Go Quan! Love that big window
Wow! I’m impressed! That is a great use of a small space! Did I mention I am doing a Reno? Didn’t you and Sara say you love long road trips? 😂
Sara and I definitely want to do a trip out there! Don't know if the airline would appreciate me bringing a framing nailer on board haha
Yummm! I am not a fan of smores but I could get behind this yummy campfire treat. Your fire pit is amazing btw! And you are a natural on camera! Well done, friend!
You'll have to build something like this at your moms place so the whole family can have Whoofums when you get together!!
Hehehe! Loved the little visitor at the end. I bet he’s a big help!!
Omg! I have never heard of a woofum! My kids would go wild over that! 🤤
@@cwl1595 They are amazing the smores killer! You’re going to have to get hubby to make the sticks I know he’s handy!
Yep, definitely better than my Keurig! Signed a Coffee Peasant. 😂
Wow! It’s really coming together now! 😊
Oooh! It’s really coming along! What a gorgeous view to relax to after a long day of work. 🌅
That’s quite the tiny space to work with. You did a great job improvising, Quan!!
Beautiful!! What a lovely, peaceful oasis for you and your family to enjoy!! Is the water warm?
It’s a very shallow lake so in the summertime the lake is pretty warm.
OMG this view outweights all the cons. Thanks Quan!
Come visit anytime, Roman!
Wow Quan!! Super impressive.
I really have to kick it into high gear to get this project done in 21 days with all these eyes watching. I can't hide in the shadows where its comfortable, haha. It's going to be tough but I'm going to push and get it done! I'm excited to design the interior, I have a nice surprise!!
I love this Quan!! Good luck on your project, I look forward to watching come together.
