Luxuriously experience time... Enfleurage, is an ancient artisan method of extracting flower essence. Enfleurage extraction of scent is possible from any flower, plant, stem, leaf, needles or bark. I seek to revive this ancient artisan extraction technique and make those secrets that were lost to time, known again. My videos are all about life on the lilac farm, and are meant to be soothing, calming and relaxing. I allow the viewer to travel back to another era where the pace is slower and each moment takes us deeper inside our hearts. Time with the plants is a communion with nature, one's own nature and the universal living loving energy.
We are able to provide free outreach because we are supported by sales of lilac and jasmine plants, pomades, essential oil absolutes, perfumes, skin care products, workshops and classes offered onsite, and Enfleurage equipment, chassis, glass, etc. All made here at the farm. Visit our website cherryvalleylilacs.com to order and speak with me. 🌸

Enfleurage Step 6 Freezing and Filtering for Lilac Absolute
Просмотров 523 месяца назад
There is no cutting of corners with this process. The freezing and filtering step has to be performed to perfection. Tirelessly. Until there is not one streak of evidence of the partially dissolved pomade. All corpse has to be removed through multiple freezing and filtering rounds. Freeze for four hours or overnight to harden any partially dissolved pomade. All trace must be removed to ensure a...

Enfleurage Cold Distillation at lower elevations vs. higher elevations
Просмотров 604 месяца назад
This is a little chemistry pop quiz for enfleuragists, distillers, perfumers, and extractionists, There is good reason to have a lab at high elevation. At high elevation we get a pure clear lilac oil and a much higher yield, with no water left behind in the cold distillation. Why do I get such a low yield and so much water in my cold distillate when at lower elevations versus higher elevations?...

Here I show how to enfleurage using the Enfleurage Kit we make and sell at Cherry Valley Lilacs. I show how to enfleurage smaller peonies and colossal peonies. I explain why it’s important to never crush or press the flowers in enfleurage. I go over the use and care of our specially designed basswood, stainless steel fasteners, and tempered glass chassis. You can purchase the Enfleurage Kit wit...
The Art of Enfleurage, Creating a beautiful pomade with a blend of flowers
Просмотров 794 месяца назад
The Art of Enfleurage I began to revive this art in 2013 after I realized that there was no lilac essential oil or lilac absolute being made in the world at the time. My first pomades were made in 2013 and 2014. Jasmine and Lilac. After some experimentation I was able to crack the code on making lilac absolute in 2016-2017. In 2024, I make pomades and extract the oils from a myriad of flowers t...
Are there GMOs in my Organic Kombucha and Yogurt ?
Просмотров 287 месяцев назад
Hiding under the organic label there are genetically modified organisms at large. This video is one in a series I am doing on food science. In the series I will cover: know what it means to be a GMO, why it is doubtful we have properly performed this diabolical meddling, how to identify GMOs in food, and why it’s important to avoid GMOs as much as possible.

Hey Charlie, how are these jars of perfumed grease going?
Nice violets! You're right about providing some shade during the hottest months. These plants love a shade and humidity! It seems that under the sun they grow more, but in a shade they flower best. Research about it ❤
my name is CharlePan, but you may call me ‘Charlie’ ;-)
wonderful job! and after washing 4 times, i still don't get a clear wash. Do you have any idea why? thanks
Im really looking forward to the next video. I understand the absorption process with the fat, but as far as from that point, i dont know how to convert it into the absolute.
The next part is very easy. Washington the pomade with perfumers alcohol….You get the extrait which is the essence of the flower washed out of the pomade into the alcohol. Once it’s in the alcohol, filter out the fat and set the extrait aside to evaporate off the alcohol. The flower essence is not as volatile as the alcohol and it doesn’t evaporate as the alcohol does, leaving behind the absolute. * washing
Have you ever tried sweet pea flowers?
Not yet! I am getting some seeds for next year. I’m working on violets this year! Trying to make enough pomade to wash to make absolute.
@@charlepan8626 wow violets 😍
AMAZING
Truth❤❤❤❤
I live in the arid desert of West Texas. I am envious of all the "green" in your video! My favorite place to nourish myself is the Great Smoky Mountains!! I travel there when I can ❤ but I also keep photos & calendars to remind me of all the magnificent green there!!
Whats the process you use after obtaining your perfumed grease?
Very informative! Keep posting about enfleurage 💚
Thank you so much for this demonstration, charlie! I'm sure the scent in that room is amazing. Do you keep the sepals for jasmines as well?
Yes for every flower with which we enfleurage…
Beautiful ❤
I have no clue about it 😂 But I'm curious to know why
So looking forward to trying more of your lovely work.
Lovely
Are you located in central oregon? I would really like to learn how to do this, do you have any good resources for people who live out here?
Do you still make your amazing jasmine enfleurage? Where can I buy it?
Hi yes when I have extra I list it on my Etsy site
Go to my website for updates and links to my Etsy site www.cherryvalleylilacs.com
I'm just getting in to enfleurage. Do you recommend a book that has good details about frame construction as well as other related topics. I'm interested in this traditional method.
Mam does this plant need sunlight for flowering
The unparalleled mistress of enfleurage.
So nice to see your face! You are strikingly beautiful! What a cool method for cloning jasmine!
🤗 Thank you Jade Violet, you're so kind and beautiful as well!
fantástico!
Wow Charle! Thanks for sharing this! This would make my life a lot easier🤣
Happy to help!
@@charlepan8626 I ended up getting the premiere centrifuge! Hubby surprised me for Christmas! I spun down an enfleurage of tuberose and plumeria I had done on screens over jojoba oil. I could see the droplets of nectar and usually I'd pipette them out but instead i used the centrifuge and boy was that a whole lot easier 😂💚💜
@@jadeforestco That's marvelous. Thanks for sharing your success. I'm so glad I could help.
Since you said in your podcast that you started with Pyrex originally as is what I would do ,is this covered just leaving a small opening for moisture to escape?? And you change the flowers in this daily?
Yes correct
I didn't know that 70% alcohol is better at disinfect than a higher grade one... Nice! I learned something today! Great video pan. Thank you.
Greetings… I can’t really see too well and so I’m wanting to find out whether these frames/trays are glass based or not?… Where did you purchase them or were they the product of DIY? Right now I’m using a wooden serving dish that has a flat base but I know that ceramics and glass is best, so until I fashioned my own ceramic tray I will just have to make do with wood.
