I just played that one the other day and the video will be published on the 15th...I remember that hole because the only option was to put it in the fairway!

@@rpa1918 I added those holes to play, and I haven't played it yet but that one is scheduled to be published on the 20th.

I had the r10 when it first came out but quickly returned it because it didn't work well in my space, and I didn't care for how cartoonish home tee hero was on it. But with the r50 I can say home tee hero looks a lot better, and my shots are doing what I think they should be doing based on how I hit the ball.

Welcome, and I agree if they can improve the graphics further this would be hard to beat.

As far as realism goes, I think a lot of that will depend on that mat you have, and I think my current mat is better than my old mat, but I don't think any simulator will compare to the real thing. However, I lost probably at least 4 months of golfing outside during winter, so I think a sim is a great alternative. For Home Tee Hero, there is a little box that tells me how much the shot will penalized for distance, but for GSPro I don't think it tells you that until after you hit your shot. Bunkers definitely are not realistic. I'm actually pretty good out of bunkers and on a sim it is definitely more of a chip shot (but I need work on those, so that's ok!) For Home Tee Hero it does a flyover of every hole before you play it, and if I want to skip to the next hole I have to select the option to pick up my ball (which also adds 10 strokes to my scorecard).

Glad you’re liking my videos! I’m guessing someone else paid to have courses local to me to be on GSPro, and I have to join a Patreon to get them. I agree the graphics are a lot better on GSPro, but I’m having a great time with Home Tee Hero.

My shorter term goal is just to get to single digits, and I think I’m closer than my handicap says because I played a lot of 9 hole rounds.

@ getting to single figures, quickly. Is 100 yards and in And minimising damage I went from 27 to 8 in 3 years I wreckon having your set up You will be off 5 soon. Once I get set up with my simulator I would love to give you a game online :)

@@danallen9873 I’m glad you are enjoying watching them, I’m really enjoying making them. I can also guarantee you I have been trying out courses I never would have tried without the suggestions I’ve been receiving here. And I added that course to my list.

I struggled with that for awhile too, and so far I just have been putting a little maxfli hitting mat from golf galaxy in front of my mat, and that has stopped it from moving.

Front tees make a difference!

I am using a hdmi wireless transmitter from Amazon, so the cord you see if the power cord for that because the r50 can not power it. This is the one I have, www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CFGPKVZ1?th=1

@@justinsobojinski awesome thanks man. I was planning on doing the same thing so I had the exact same concern about the R50 USB-C not outputting any power to run something like that. I might see if a mini battery power bank is enough to power the transmitter to cut down on cords even more

@@rmurray22 that could definitely work, luckily for me I also do woodworking and other stuff in my garage so I have a retractable extension cord I can just use.

No I do not, that is only for the driving range

And I guess you don’t really have to do it on the driving range either, but you can go back and look at your stats on the Garmin golf app which is why having each club separately is beneficial

@@justinsobojinski I ordered two days ago from Play Better. As of now, they are taking a $50 deposit until they are ready to ship, which they estimate could be 3-4 weeks, so a backlog is building up. From watching yours and other videos, I am really looking forward to it.

Yes I think the distances are very accurate. One of these days I plan on taking my r50 somewhere I'll be comfortable swinging my driver and woods and I'll probably post that on top of whatever course video I release that day.

The graphics are definitely better with GSPro, but what I'm really liking about HTH is I can pick virtually any real course in the world and start playing it within minutes. There is one course I haven't seen on this updated version of HTH, but it is on the R10 version, so I emailed Garmin about it but haven't heard back yet.

Yes, I'm not quite comfortable swinging driver in my garage yet. I'm 5'8" and my garage ceiling is about 9' before adding the hitting mat and I don't want to ruin my swing. I have tried swinging my driver in my garage (and I think even tried it in a video or two) and physically it seems okay, but mentally I can't yet. I have been exploring raising a portion of my ceiling even more yet though.

I think the greens could definitely be better, and I mostly only see slopes in the flyovers. The graphics aren’t as good as GSPro, but I think it’s a great first step.

The data I have is ball speed, launch angle, launch direction, spin rate, spin axis, backspin, sidespin, carry distance, total distance, apex height, carry deviation (yards), total deviation (yards), carry deviation (angle), total deviation (angle) club speed, smash factor, attack angle, club path, club face, and face to path. What I also like is that I can long press the data tile and get a description of what each tile means.
