Any clues on why my rear window dosent go all the way up ⬆️ there is like one inch left to fully close. I get water inside and can properly wash the truck!!

really half decent call on this tail gate - one bit that needs a bit of love - but you cant get at - is the gear drive on the electric motor. From experience this is the most likely fail point.

Just swapped a 90 tire swing for a 92 non tire swing. Your video helped out a ton. Thank you. I got weak power from the key but decent up in the cockpit. Think ill need to rewatch for the grease part hah. Thanks again.

thanks for the video, really helpful. My window is like new now. I have to replace a channel, but a slight tap of the hammer to close it over the glass did the trick for now (rusted out)

After having recent issues with my window going up from the switch and key with car engine on or off, i decided to give this a try. Helped a bit but still had the same issue. I then went to swap a motor, (though the polarity was backwards as the switch functions were now reversed. After switching the motor, now i have issues getting the window DOWN (reversed switches) and takes several tries to finally move. It only works with the engine on. So this leads me to think- is it my window relay going bad given it was previously having issues going up, and now it's having issues going down with the new motor with reverse cables?

Just did my '95 by following your video. It helped a lot and your instructions were great and easy to follow for someone who isn't a car mechanic.

This back door is the biggest disaster Toyota ever came up with. Too bad you can fit in the new model door and get rid of all this agony

The pigtail you used to energize the tailgate motor, how would I go about making on of those? Do I need that connection you have or could I just use exposed wired to touch to the nodes?

Is it possible to take the tailgate cover off with the tailgate up? My window will not roll down all the way and I need to get to the assembly somehow...

Awesome video. Mine works but is slow. Helps that it has been garaged basically the entire 25 years, but I have never lubricated it. Will be doing soon. Do you have any videos on replacing the back speakers on a second gen 4Runner?

is the Rear latch assembly malfunction related also to the wiper/washer motor and the window function in a toyota 4runner 2005? I'm getting a draw from the rear latch assembly that is draining my battery overnight...

My console button works for up and down. And the key will put the window back up. It wont go down though when I try and use the key outside.

Be nice if you can show us exactly what parts you are greasing and where they are situato

Question, My window don't work & get back door open 93 4runner. Window is in up position, back door closed. When i put key in & turn.. i get that beeping noise but your getting it with the door open. Any ideas on why it's saying my latches are open? Any idea on a solution?
