Svarttjern - Black Metal band was formed by HansFyrste and HaaN as a two man project in 2003 in Oslo, Norway.
Svarttjern is Norwegian for "black tarn", but was taken from a piece of Norwegian art, more specifically a painting by the Norwegian artist August Cappelen. Also refers to a Carpathian Forest demo.
