i just bought a ceramic grill that needs me to heat up coals separately, like this method. i don’t know why i’ve never needed one of these cup coal heaters, but now after 3 years, bunnings still sell this at the same price, and never adjusted for inflation 😂 …going to pick up a couple just in case hahaha

ok..the thingy around your neck is a notions holder..all those bits and bobs are revered to as "notions"...and yes, the cross stitch pictures ARE revered to as samplers..they are made up to show people a "sample" of your embroidery talent...ladies have been making them for centuries, or more to the point, young girls..this shows off how they have progressed with their sewing skills..I stayed overnight in a BnB in an old "tourist" town in Nth Carolina a few years back when I was holidaying in the US..I'm an Aussie..in the room I stayed in there were many "samplers" on display on the walls..one of them dated back to the late 17 hundreds..

Also taking store cards out your of wallet and replacing with apps on your phone - so simple but so clever! Get well soon 🙏

We had the stomach bugbrun through our house. Our 2 youngest were sick on and off for about 2 weeks. Glad it is over. Hope you recover from whatever is plaguing you. Thrifting is fun , I always get a kick out of what people get rid of and what I purchase.

Well, i know what I'm doing this weekend! 😊 i use flour sack towels that I've had for years, and they're just gross. Plus, i just got my clotheslines hung, so they'll get a good sunbleaching! ❤

I think your machine couldn't finish because it couldn't make a balanced load to spin, if the dress was loose it might have done it. I have to throw a couple of towels in mine before the spin if I'm only doing a couple of things to make it work. If it span an unbalanced drum it'd walk across the room or shake itself apart so it's a built in safety feature.

How many items of each clothing item would you normally keep per kid? I feel like we need a set number. Thinking like 4 of each, but even that would end up feeling like too much… 😬 I am contemplating putting out of season things away but can I really be bothered!?!

Yes Katherine I noticed I am a different person due to the lock down. I feel like I am more on edge and snap more easily. Not exactly sure why or what is causing it. This video really resonated with me. Apps, text and email are my preferred methods of contact. Luke was so chatty today!❤

Gosh I felt every word you said. There’s nothing I hate more than babysitting an item for someone else when I’m done with it. I no longer gift to people or sell anything via marketplace. The stress is just too much. I need it gone out of my house instantly. I get overwhelmed very easily and feel like I’m constantly decluttering. We homeschool as well so again, more stuff other households probably don’t have. And I’m finding as the boys get bigger the house gets smaller. My mum recently passed away and my dad has mentioned to me this and that of hers and yes I’d love a few things but my goodness I don’t want it all. 😮‍💨 Anyways glad I popped on RUclips tonight and seen this video. You’re not alone.

Having a child with special needs can be very overwhelming very often!

I hope that through me showing you the things I am letting go of and why helps someone to process their feelings when it comes to being overwhelmed. Processing the feelings and thoughts are more important than just getting rid of everything. Please be gentle with yourself if you are struggling ❤ I'll see you again soon

I feel ya Katherine❤ We recently moved and decluttered severely. However, it is getting cluttered again. 7 people and 5 pets( 4 guinnea pigs and a cat) there is stuff all over. Let's not forget, my personal struggle of mine is someone always needs something or something breaks etc. I feel like it is useless to declutter but if not the house just gets full of junk . ❤

Jim Berg has a counseling series called quieting a noisy soul. And his website has some resourcing for dealing with reactions. I also find the scripture meditations by sms orchestra here on youtube is really encouraging for me when I'm anxious. Not yoga emptying mind, but filling my thoughts with the Lords words to help me through hurt. Er dealing with in the moment children issues is another matter that I'm still learning about. Hugs.

Mystie winkler is such an encouragement to me. She talks about how schedules will need to keep changing as situations and kids grow. It's OK. Pick the top three for the day as must do. For me they are homeschool, meals and laundry. As possible in tiny moments here and there in the day dishes and other tasks get done. I'm thankful for some encouragement from a friend recently to help me remember that my purpose right now is caring and nurturing for my children and husband. When I'm adding more than that I get overwhelmed and my priorities get off kilter. That's your first calling care for your family. Please don't let making videos distract you from your dear ones.

We are the gatekeepers of our home. The Minimal Mom talks about stuff as inventory that you have to account for and look after. Essentially the inventory owns you not the other way around. So minimising the inventory that owns you makes you less of a slave to it - no more putting it away, maintaining it etc. That’s what helped me through my decluttering process anyway. Now it’s more about maintaining that mindset and being a very intentional gatekeeper. Looking forward to seeing how much you purge 😉

Every child is different and special. Usually only to their own parents though. We used to only have to avoid looking at the few photos in a parents wallet. I can’t imagine raising kids these days, where every image is an Insta opportunity for promotion of babies and gender reveals. 🌹❤️
