Life below Jessup's Falls
Добавлен 8 дек 2012
Living close to the land, we monitor the wildlife corridors of the Jessup's Falls escarpment in the county of Alfred-Plantagenet, Ontario. The health of the animals living on the escarpment is a great indicator of the health of the forest and rivers that surround us. Heavy industry has tried to establish itself on the escarpment, only hundreds of yards from a main river than runs through the entire county and into the river that leads to major cities as well as hundreds of homes. So far, we have been successful in keeping the escarpment wild for our animal friends.

HOT!

At what temperature does a turkey start to pant? It can get hot travelling between forests but at least they aren't bothered by ticks so can hang out in the forest on the hottest part of the day.

About 5 years ago we noticed a very pale turkey. She stood out! Now we have many of these grey ladies! They stand between the darkness and the light.

Beautiful, love seeing them. Tks for sharing. " the Arkansas turkey whisperer " .

Awesome photos of the deer 🦌🦌
Thanks! They were very accommodating. I got a number of snuffle nose up to the cameras too. But it was the two years in a row of twins that surprised me. And after reading, turns out its not so rare for deer to have twins!
Look at all of that snow ❄️🌨️ we got a little bit of snow
Love it!.....no music...no talk over...just as described .....sniff...😁
Glad you like that! I like to hear the sounds of nature surrounding...and we don't want to miss the sniff! I also have a playlist of just nature sounds with little or no beings as a focal point. Have a look! ruclips.net/p/PL2WdqHO-AtxpTfPKrs5V5xyepFLo0eftm

Glad you enjoyed it! I put all my turkey videos into one playlist. We had a really pale female one year now I find them all look a lot lighter than usual. What do you think? ruclips.net/p/PL2WdqHO-Atxqb7EyIIY1sHz35n24vdeVV

Cool fella
I thought you put jumpscare on that
Its more of a slow creepy...do you see the face on the wall? 😬
Idk why this video in my recommendations, but i like it.
do you like having them around
It is when I was reviewing some later videos to gauge the amount of rats after some renos and I said Oh how cute! on spotting a little one...That I knew I was in trouble and will probably never use poison. So long as they stay out of the chicken coop, and don't chomp on wires, or get diseased...but I obviously do find them entertaining! 😸
LOL
😮😮😮
Very nice turkey 🦃🦃
That's a cool black squirrel 🐿️🐿️
Where is this beauty live? Let her survive winter, can Suzanne help her? Or is it a selfy from Suzanne the fox herself, lol ( of love)...
Thanks for asking! This beauty and her mate live in the escarpment just behind her. They were living there when we arrived in the area 40 years ago! There is much to eat on the escarpment. Check my other videos on the squirrels and turkeys who also live out there. And look at that beautiful coat (mine is nowhere near as pretty). There must be quality dining on the escarpment. And yes! We have helped her. We have worked hard to keep the Jessup's Falls escarpment from industrial development with a five year battle to get the request for an asphalt plant to be built just over the hill rejected. nzap.ca/
