I switched to the AC simulator for the Resistor-Capacitor charging circuit. There is a series resistor and capacitor circuit. When power is applied, the voltage charges up to the supply voltage. A discharge switch is included along with a discharge resistor to limit the current. Towards the end of the simulation, I lowered all of the resistances so you can see a quick charge and discharge.

In this video I use four batteries to generate 48vdc. There's a fuse and main switch. Four resistors are connected in parallel, each with a switch to cut it into the circuit. single resistor limits current when all parallel resistors are switched in. Watch as current increases as each parallel resistor is switched in.

In this video, I have three batteries in series. Voltage adds when they are in series. A fuse and main power switch is used. Four resistors are connected in series. Three resistors have a switch connected in parallel so I can cut the resistor into or out of the circuit. When the switches are open, the resistor is in the circuit. Watch as the current changes with a resistance change.

Two batteries, a fuse, switch and a resistor load. At first it shows electron flow, then conventional current flow. Watch the current change as resistance changes. At some point I blow out the fuse. Too many amps.
