How I brought nostalgia to my most meaningful film (Dehancer Review Final Cut Pro X)

This is a slightly different video in which I show something "behind the scenes" and this time talk about my other passion, filmmaking. The company @Dehancer contacted me at probably the best moment, when I was editing my last video about returning to the place I called home almost 30 years ago, and asked if I would like to test and review their movie emulation software. I started full-time traveling and had a bumpy start
I just got back from Egypt .I went to Hurghada ,Luxor, Alexandria and Cairo. Hurghada is resort town so same as anywhere else in the world .Cairo is not too bad. We got lucky and found a really honest Uber driver. Alexandria, I did a day trip so not long enough to have a honest opinion. But Luxor is by far one of the worst city I've ever traveled to in the world. If you are interested in antiquities, history ,tombs and temples, its worth going 1 time. I have now been there once , I would never go back. I would have to write a whole blog for all the negatives. In hindsight Egypt would not be that high up on my bucket list. And again if you have to go to Luxor, do it as quick as you can. Awful place! Full of people that only want your money.
when i see written : on thumbnail video my honest experience, i know what i will get😁, next check his face just 💯 approve, goodbye.

Hallo mein Lieber, willkommen zuhause. Es war schön, dich auf deiner Reise begleiten zu dürfen. Ich wünsche dir für die Zukunft von Herzen alles Gute... 🫂🫂😎🫂
Danke dir, mein Lieber! 😊
I dont find it as a failed dream. After all, you took steps to pursue it and you only found out it is not your style. If you didnt how else would you know. It certainly takes courage to actually do it so yeah you deserve some credit. Like myself, i love to travel but not solo. I want to enjoy the moments with my loved ones and creating memories together. But hey maybe i will try solo some time. Who knows i may enjoy it too. Thanks for your sharing. I’m truly inspired ✨
Yeah, you‘re right. I don't want to regret not having tried something. Thank you for your comment!
Sometimes you need to try it out before you truly know. Now you know what you really want. Which will make you stronger in the long run. I also enjoy my space and routines.
Exactly! Thanks for commenting! :)
Really relatable, thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you for your comment!
You pursuit your dream, took the risk and figured out it's not what you wanted eventually. This isn't a "failed dream" in any way. Instead you took the opportunity and realised it's not what you were looking for. Imagine you wouldn't have done it? You would probably question yourself your whole life if the chance you didn't catch was what you were looking for. If I would have to make a guess I'd say a lot of van life/full time travellers feel the same (at one point) but won't tell since social media has hyped up this whole thing and a lot of people are "afraid" of telling the truth or won't admit it's not as glamorous at is "advertised". I'd say it might be different if you have a travel buddy/partner since you have at least a "constant" in this different lifestyle. You can be very proud of yourself, it takes a lot of courage to do what you did and also admit it's not right for you 👏 PS: Happy Birthday, still, hope you had a great day with your beloved ones while seeing them in person! 🎁
Thank you for your wishes and your important comment! 🙌🏻 Your assumption is in line with mine. I also have the impression that many things in the travel bubble are generally romanticized too much and many people are afraid of getting a hate wave or being labeled as not adventurous enough if they talk about the struggles. And yes, traveling with a travel buddy makes it easier in many ways. Now that some time has passed, I've realized for myself that it was absolutely the right decision. And as you say, it would be more unfortunate if you had to ask yourself forever, what if I had done it?
Hey, Happy Birthday 🎉🎂 And you should be proud of yourself you did a great job ❤
Thank you very much, Aya! 😊

I agree with you that the things you have heard are not nearly as bad as you have heard. I live here, in fact, and I would not live here if the people were not so kind to me. You can get scammed anywhere so just keep your brain working and you should be fine. Oh the construction. Yes, it is truly as bad as it was for you. They seem to never finish a building completely, so construction is going to happen at any time. Please do eat the food, but kind of scope it out for cleanliness if you can, and do not drink anything but bottled water, and drink a lot of it. The weather right now is excessively hot and there is no shade at the pyramids. Bring hand wipes or sanitizer, and any tissues you have when you go out. Let the lovely Egyptian people show you all that Egypt has to offer.

You missed the great pyramids at night in private tour. Very powerful. King and queen chamber amazing. Red pyramid very powerful with sound space. Some bribing to get further and further in which was amazing.
Get an Egyptologist if you want the best tour. You will not be hassled
Yes, agree. My guide is an egyptologist. :)
Stay in Zamalek. Fun area. Very safe. Never got stomach sick. Only nose from the desert dust and a lot of smoke on the Nile. Take anti histamines
Welcome to Egypt welcome to your home you are really brave man and I loved every single moment on that video , we love to communicate with the other nations since the beginning of time and as the Egyptian says " whoever drink from the Nile will return back " I hope that you experience the medetranian vibes in my cty Alexandria

One more video from Uzbekistan 😍 Will you share video from Tashkent also?
of course! 😊
when I went to Djoser Pyramid in Sakkara AKA the Step pyramid, I took a Camel ridding the entrance, : ) I had a couple of American friends with me but they didn't want to... Ride the Camel .. I did it coz it was empty .. maybe only us three on the site.. later the Camel Guy shared with me breakfast ;Falafel Tomatoes & Baladi bread ... I gave him like 20 EGP like $2 to $3 worth maybe... at that time around 2015 ...Also The uber Driver that said your in no way German... u definitely stand out from the Stereotype.. LOL .. to get to Sakkara I took a Microbus … It was my first time to visit as am from Alexandria . 💚💚💚🐋
The hospitality in Egypt is really terrific! :) Unfortunately, I didn't make it to Alexandria that time. I definitely want to visit it next time! 😁
Those camels are not looked after. Their skin is callous and horrible. I would never ride them. Sit all day in the sun and made to carry tourists. In the back streets of Giza you can see them whipped. It is horrible. Please don’t ride the horses and camels.
@@21chch I was talking about SaQQara or Sakkara Pyramid … not the great Pyramids Site … I know Camels... as I used to be a Desert Guide for long Treks in the Western Desert & all the oasis there, especially the White Desert .. but that was like 15 years ago … Poor People are poor in their minds.. that is why they r cruel towards Donkeys, mules, horses & even camels & dogs . BTW the Pyramids were never TOMBS ... and if I was Clear enough that I only made that camel ride in Sakkara as it was empty of tourists & a different site … The Great Pyramids Site & areas around it are a BIG MESS 💚💚💚🐋
@@josecarloelpescadero9164 never believed the pyramided were tombs. That is absolute stupidity.
@@21chch I saw the same thing with the camel and donkey abuse. One man whipped his donkey so hard for the reason of being exhausted in the heat. Will never ever go there again.
Many discourage solo travelers from going there, especially female ones.
That's why I wanted to use this video to try and motivate more people to travel to Egypt. I met a few solo travelers myself, both woman and man, and they were all enthusiastic about Egypt.
I’m a woman. I was fine. No hassle at all. Felt safe all the time. Why you say this
@@21chch not worth the risk
@@ceslestine what risk??
Don't come.
Thank you for bringing up the poor animals, not a lot of people do or even care 🥺💔
Greetings from Egypt! Very fair and balanced video, and great tips for the viewers. Egypt is a beautiful country with tons of potential but sadly our people and governments are not taking the best decisions, you seemed well prepared and knew some of the common 'tourist traps' glad you enjoyed the trip. Do you think you would take another trip to Egypt sometime in the future? Would u recommend to a friend? Also what are the top 3 things, in your perspective, that Egypt should focus on to improve the tourist experience? Would love to hear your views :) have a great day! Tschüss!
Thank you for your kind comment! Yes, I would travel there again and would recommend it to a friend. It's a beautiful and very interesting country. I just have one thing in mind that could be improved in some way, because in my opinion there is a lot of improvement going on. I would say trying to find a way to reduce the "tourist traps" and find solutions/opportunities for the locals as well. So both sides benefit from it. I didn't have a bad situation or experience there, but as you said, I was a bit prepared and researched before to avoid common "traps".
@@AJRoams Fair enough, although traps are common in all touristy destinations, i'm aware in Egypt they are too aggressive and common. I wish there was an obvious plan to eradicate this, but its a very tricky problem to solve considering the economic crises and lack of $$ in Egypt these days. My hope is it might be solved after a few generations start viewing tourists in a more healthy light, Egyptians, are naturally very hospitable, friendly and outgoing but they sadly still look at 1st world tourists as easy cash cows ! As you said its about the lack of opportunities and education. But believe me, educated Egyptians are aware of this problem and have been slowly trying to improve the tourist experience. Be sure to visit some of the lovely beaches and resorts and less touristy areas you will notice its a totally different experience. Best of luck with all your projects.
Tks for sharing the tips...awesome..can i know which hotel u stay in giza?
I stayed in „Turquoise Pyramids & Grand egyptian museum view Hotel“
