This is the road going up to Cataloochee Valley. It starts out paved, then turns into a dirt road, then back to a paved road once you get into the GSNP.

Oh, I will have to look that one up next time I am in there. Did you see the Coral Snake? First time seeing one in the wild for me. I always see the Scarlet King Snake that looks like it.

I like turtles too. Too bad they're disappearing in record numbers. The Philadelphia area was all swampland 300 years ago, and the turtles just disappeared within the last 15 years. Snakes as well.

@@Gruesome-Twosum that's terrible! Interestingly, I've seen more turtles in the last 5 years than I'd seen in the 20 years previous combined. Washington DC area. I go hiking in Maryland, just north of DC.

It happens every year during the summer Months. The peak is like June. Landsford Canal is the place.

@hunkereddownoutdoors you're lucky to have such a great place to live! I grew up in Michigan and miss it every day. I'm in Maryland. Nice but nowhere near like your area or Michigan!

Well the tent was free to me and came from an auction used lol . I do like this tent just takes a little longer to set up but love the room! Yeah I can’t wait until we can camp again together. Thats gonna be great. Spam is a great idea. I’ll have to remember that lol.

The park itself is very nice. The campground is not kept up very well even though we had a nice site ourselves. I should have showed the campground. Thanks for watching.

Thanks man. I feel like I didn't do too good but you and Matt made me feel better about it lol. I wish I would have had more footage too and maybe next year I will but honestly it was good to just sit back and relax and get to talk to everyone and not worry about filming. It helped me stay in the moment. I am hoping next year the back will be better and I will be more myself. I appreciate you coming up with this idea and asking me to help man. I can't wait until next year. Lets start planning it as soon as you get back from your trip!

I definitely want to hike to the top. I hope next year I can take an extra day to come and have some time to fish, hike, and see what else is around there. Man, I really appreciate you coming out. Once I find out about the TN meetup, I will let you know. I think last year it was on Mother's day weekend so that is why I wasn't able to go. Hopefully, it will be a different weekend and I can go to it.
