This one part won't work for me because when i try to add a server with the code ready and make the server, it just would either won't let me play because it says cannot find server or it lets me load up the server and crashes me

i have a problem when i select the cave horror project mode it changes my version to 1.6.4 and the other way around if i put the version 1.20.1 47 bla bla it changes the mode to forge.Or it has to do that?
