How to make a Munsell Color Chart. In this video I will make a Munsell Color chart for the Hue of orange. Also known as 5 yellow red. In painting color mixing is very important. Learning the Munsell color system will organize and simplify color mixing. More info about lessons at www.randallgraham.com/
Very useful!
Non ho capito l'ordine degli aranconi nel secondo grafico. Perché il 9 nel 4...?
Somebody decided or measured the maximum chromas for each value, I want to know HOW. Also, do you expect to find a lighter and a darker pigment for each hue, or are some hues mixed with the home color, black, and white?
Gracias
Very informative video ❤ Thanksss a lot 👌🏼🎨😇
I am sooooo grateful. This is the first time I have come across a video that explains Munsell in such depth, thanks for that, you made me very happy.
Ohhh. Thanks. I need Review some times. I don't understand why the Orange chance to 14 or other in chroma. I need see other times. Thanks
That’s where I get stuck too. I think maybe you just have to look at the completed Munsell chart and take their word for it. Also I believe that if you are going in incremental steps then there are more steps between value 4 and home value of orange which extends way out. So it ends up being that the vertical columns all have a descending order. Not just the white to black. It’s tricky. And as much as I’ve looked at James Gurney book i didn’t get even where those rows were coming from. This video helps. I’m a little closer. Hope what I said makes some sense.
What is chroma?
Thank you. I just discovered and can't wait to explore. New subscriber.
Screen shot? You didn’t provide a clean image of your chart. There were large words or your handin the way. Please tell and show where you provided a good image. The best image i found was cut off at top & bottom. Nice idea.
Great stuff
Why is chroma value 9 at chroma # 2 ? Why is chroma value 8 at chroma # 10?
Thank you for sharing , it's great.
Thank you...
Thank you Randy for a great year!
Is this an oil or acrylic painting? I'm trying to paint a baseball with acrylics, are the same techniques applicable between both mediums?
Hey my great great grandfather invented this wheel. Thats my last name munsell haha
Good Job
I understand this. This is very cool. Thank you

Where?
ruclips.net/video/10O6Ls2QqM0/видео.html Yours is very informative so thank you for posting. Always learning about colour.
Thank you Randall. You are the first one that I've found to explain this. But however, I will have to watch it many more times before it totally absorbs into my brain. Hopefully you will continue on this journey on RUclips doing this.
