Going to finish my coffee and go install these on my 2018 Ram 1500 with 50k miles. I live on a mountain and tow classic cars, so I'm hoping these will function like OEM or better.
@@BBBILLY86 Good luck with your project. I hope you get the results you're expecting.
@@312ark thank you!
Hipa sells decent parts.
Just had mine broken at Walmart.
@@nickfranco2259 I don't understand why people think those have to be torqued down so tight.
I'm thinking about putting these brake pads on my 2015 Ford Expedition XLT...I currently have Hawks Pads and they are very noisy
@@HiKielLiHi Good luck with your project.
Too much talking. Get to the subject!
Thanks, it worked 😊
Is that a nine tooth or ten what generation starter do you prefer
@@chief3bearsbrunelle766 I'm sorry, but it's been so long ago that I can't tell you how many teeth are on the the starter gear.
Did you keep the original calipers? Because I was looking at rock auto and they sell them as a complete kit with new calipers. Not sure if these power stop calipers are better or not. I have a 2015 ram 1500. Did many many trips, pulling a 5 x 10 trailer back-and-forth between New York State and Florida. I heard about the Power Stop rotors and pads on a Ram Truck Forum.
@@johnforsyth8414 I kept the OEM calipers on the truck.

Fuck8ng stupid vid. Doesn't show the most important moment the trick to get the f...light out. It's stuck.
Thank you your video was very helpful, i bought my actuator on Amazon Prime for $21.45
Im about to finish my coffee and go out to the shop and install my Z36 kit on my Silverado 2500hd. Same purpose as you. I tow heavy stuff
@@todell7008 Good luck with your project.
Fantastic job thanks😊
is that tool only required for the rear pads? or the front as well to push in
Woohoo on multiple levels! I tried removing the screws from the passenger side, but i am not that limber. I got in from the driver's side and removed the screws by feel. I felt the brake lever too. Thanks for clarifying where the screws are. The clicking noise is gone. I opened the old actuator and found the shaft on one of the gears was broken. I also bought the Klein ratchet and it is wonderful. I may buy another one or two. I might buy some as stocking stuffers for Christmas.
@@bobt2522 I'm glad my video was helpful for you. I replaced the same actuator today in a Jeep Patriot. Again, the Klein ratchet made the job so much easier.
What happens, if the coli and sparks plugs were change and its still giving you a p0304 code?

So your a Veteran?
I put a spark indicator between the coil and the plug and both sides made it glow. I sprayed some water on each exhaust pipe and both sizzled. I am going to take a look at the carb setting. Any other suggestions?
@@howechilds5060 You're on the right track with the carb. I would make sure all the jets and the emulsion tube are clear.
@@312ark Thanks to your video and another one I watched I found the problem. Remember, I had spark on both sides but when I did the test pulling a plug wire off one side the engine died. Told me that there was something else wrong besides the coil. I pulled the valve cover off and there it was, the bolt holding the rocker arm on the intake valve had rattled off ... no air nor gas was getting in... the valve was stuck closed. I put it back together and gapped the rocker to the valve and started her up. WOW.. power! I tested the fix by cutting some wet grass and she ran very strong! All fixed.
@@howechilds5060 it feels great when you can fix your equipment.
take the rotor off and you can knock the snap ring out through a slit it the spindle.
@@justinspicer9323 I will have to try that next time.
This is why I do my own oil changes! Honda factory torque spec is 29-30 ft/lbs on the oil drain plug…not impact wrench! 🤨
Currently performing this job. I have T30 bolts for my pump. I feel like these torque specs will break them (especially the M8 at 18 ft. lb). Can you confirm what they are to be torqued to?
@@DynamicDaddio I added a screenshot of the torque specs in the video. The torque specs are directly from factory service data.
@@312ark All good. I took a screen shot of your screen shot and included it my notes. There were a couple bolt locations that were tough, so I gave them the best I could without stripping the heads. Happy to report new Gates pump is installed/working with zero leaks. Greatly appreciate the video. Keep ‘em coming!
Thank you
@@Bigcat54 You're welcome.
Don't forget to put some water proof Shellac it. Or put on that rust red paint on it.
Plus, you have electric tools; when I put together mine from "Sutherland's" - I had to do it manually.
Also, no complainting; just put it all together & shut up. It's $150.00 plus tax. Except, on tax-free day.
Next time just pay the extra $10.00 fee to have it assembled.
Hey, you don't have to be like my Dad & use his "L". Nothing, is perfect; only God is Perfect!!!
Go to Sutherland's next time. On Clime Rd. near Harrisburg Pike.
Thanks for video ❤

@@1hidalguense Thank you for the positive comment. I hope you found it helpful.
Love this video! Pretty short and simple to follow along with, my service manager recommended I look up a video to make sure I know what process to follow for a water pump I have do tomorrow but I dreaded some videos because they were 30 minutes+ long. Also really appreciated including the diagrams for torque pattern and torque specs!!!!
@@wrathoffire7012 I'm glad my video was helpful for you.
not a big deal but at 3:02 that silver collar above the little black spring on the belt is supposed to be popped back. other than that very cool use for an overhead opener!
This vid was good -would wonder if you could help on an LT42 with the Kohler motor. It runs fine, but when mowing, sometimes it'll sputter and run ROUGH. I'll disengage the blades and it sputters and is boggy for a moment or two, but if you drive it around, particularly if you find a bouncy spot like across a driveway or something, it'll suddenly go back to running fine, almost as if you're knocking something free. You'll engage, it'll mow for a while without incident, and then it bogs/sputters again. This was on a thick lawn, it was a bit overgrown so I went over and helped my dad with my LT1. Was only taking about 12-15" stripes at a time. It is cranky to start, is about 5 yrs old but still feels like it'll go full throttle (but I know I need to check the throttle cable to be sure it's adjusted right). It DOES need a new deck/blade belt this year - it appears that it's more stretched and loose than when new, and it's on order now. :)
@@heatherstiletto769 Thank you for the positive comment on my video. Bogging issues usually indicate a carburetor issue. It could still be an issue with a coil. Coils can intermittently stop working causing the issue you're describing.
You didnt show you reconnecting the throttle cable. At exactly 4:00 you'll see the opposite end of where the throttle cable conx to. You'll notice the new carb points to about 10 oclock and your old one points to 9 oclock. My new one was the same and for that reason the choke thing with the red plastic knob wont stay in the cold start position and when I connect the throttle cable, because there isnt enough slack pulls that thing to the 11 oclock position making it more impossible for the choke to work. I have no idea why the throttle cable doesnt have enough slack as I didnt adjust any of that. Actually I dont understand how your choke works with that thing in the 10 or 11 oclock position, again freeze frame at 4:00 mins to see what I'm talking about. Sorry I dont know the correct part terms so I hope this makes sense and if youre kind enough to reply, I hope I figured it out by then.
I see what you're talking about. It may be the way I'm holding the carburetor and I'm causing the throttle to be open. I don't have any trouble starting it. I use this powerhead the power a pole saw.
@@312ark Thanks for you reply, I did get it started but still for whatever reason my throttle cable is a gnats pube hair shorter now so I have to stretch so that the choke can engage and It idles to high because the throttle cable is pulled so tight? I'll have to figure it out but thanks for your reply and good video!!
I have the opposite issue. Driver side a little heat and passenger none. Haven't been able to figure out the problem. Replaced thermostat and added new coolant but same problem. I'll look into this. Hope the guns are reasonably priced. Thanks for the video. I'll report back the results.
You can get the guns for about $50. I hope it works out for you.
Which rotors did u go with?
I used the drilled and slotted rotors.
@@312ark cool thanks, was going to try n save on rotors separately but ill give kit a go
Just saved my life at work. Thank you so much man from North Carolina
You're welcome. I'm glad my video was helpful.
Actually anyone who has read the owner's manual knows about switching from summer to winter operation and vice versa. But if all you do is flip the black divider piece from summer (sun) to winter (snowflake) you have accomplished very little. You also must unblock the opening to the right of the spark plug by rotating the black cover from the right side to the left side of the plug. With the opening unblocked, warm air can now be drawn from the cylinder area to the air cleaner for better winter operation. In the summer the opening is once again blocked keeping hot air from the carb area.
Had Z36 installed on my Escalade yesterday and im wondering if I was suppose to feel a noticeable difference with the firmness of the pedal immediately after install or does it get noticeably stronger over a day or two . Right now I think my factories had a better bite less effort on the foot to pedal pressure to come to a hard stop. I guess with all the hype I was expecting to tap the pedal and almost get thrown through the windshield . I was told they will bite more over time any advice would be helpfu
I noticed a difference almost immediately. Where the pads and rotors broke-in as recommended? I did a brake fluid flush when I put on the Z36 brake package. Brake fluid flushes are super easy and you can buy a pressure kit pretty inexpensively from Amazon.
@@312ark Yep I broke them in according to the instructions . I could smell my brakes inside the cabin however I didn’t do a break fluid flush didn’t I had to but it’s worth a try
Hopefully you'll notice a difference soon.
That was helpful, thank you!
I'm glad you found it helpful
I have the same model. Very useful video. Thank you!
You forgot the rubber boot from the old carburetor to the new one.
You are correct. After I finished the video and was cleaning up my mess, I realized I forgot to transfer it over. Off camera I took the air filter back off and put the rubber seal on the new carburetor.
The z36 pad is probably the best I’ve ever used. I drive a lifted truck on 37s and I am absolutely amazed on how quick it stops. Plus with the truck being a 1/2 ton and not having as much brake power as a 3/4 or 1 ton. They stop incredibly well. To anyone questioning this pad/set. Absolutely do go with them
They seem to work well for mee too.
