Yamaha XT350 & Suzuki DR350 Sunday Ride - Armadillo Run Pt6
Brings back memories as I used to live in FL and had a xt350. Have a dr350 now. Both are good bikes, but I like the taller bikes. Do not miss driving in that traffic. Y'all stay safe.
What size sprockets you running ? What’s a good cruise speed not too buzzy ?
Which bike is better
Didnt she know you paid for both of you lol😂
Hi guys my xt 350 94 can reach max 6000 rpm on the 6 gear and about 120 km/h that is ok ?or should be more
Buddy on the Dr just loves burning that clutch boy
Both of those will do 100 if you put the right gear ratio
Can a tecate 4 , banshee, trx 250r all stock beat or keep up with xr 350 , dt 350 , Dr 350, xt 350 ?
where did you get the tail rack? what brand?
thanks for the ride
Min. 1:32 "They probably looking over here, wishing they had these type of bikes," said no one with 130-over 200hp 🤣
My 91 xt350 i changed the sprockets for a bit more top end when i moved to texas. Aftemarket pipe, better airfilter, carbs rejetted. Irc tire with more street oriented...i would fill tanl half premium/half 110 octane racing fuel..took away the top speed vibration. I was getting around 100mph top speed with the mods and regearing. Everything was so far away in texas. Needed better cruising speed. Should have traded it in on 750cc sreet bike
First ...Smoking !😁
Thank god reading the comments is a thing!!
Do you know what kind of front fender is on that xt?
motor sounds good, curious what do you like more the dr 350 or the xt 350?
what kind of fender did you put on it? i agree the original looks stupid. lol i want to change mine also.
Ever figure it out? I'd like to replace mine as well.
So I’ve just sat here for 25 minutes for nothing to happen at all. Your goofy ass click baits for no reason at all.
Im sorry for your loss and thank you for saving mines 😂😂...R.I.P to the minutes lost!!
My 1985 XT 350 all stock, 30HP no restriction on intake like newer models...she pulls 90mph no probs 👍🙏
I enjoyed this video. I'd love to have one of those classics! I like that Suzuki, when you showed the bike up close it was coo to see the guages and the emblem on the bars. I've got an 06 XT 225 and do the same stuff you guys do
I noticed your tach bounces around when shifting, mines does this too. Have you ever looked into this problem?
Hmmm, good question.. Well it never really bothered me I know it's got rubber bushings on the mounts because I had to remove it when I was trying to figure out how to replace the tach light bulb that was out, so I assumed it was to suppress the the bouncing somewhat.
my left ear enjoyed this
👍
Is it stock gearing?
Yes, all stock
@@knobbsdc-4358 What does it cruise at comfortably at on the highway? I thinking of buying one and use on bike rack on camping van.
Well my friend, J only been on the highway that one time for top speed testing purposes, but with some decent enduro 50/50 tires I would think around 60mph your good to go. Hope that helps.
Nice looking bike! Recently purchased a 93 XT350 and need to replace the tires and like what you have. Please let me know the tire brand and sizes. Thank you!
Noice
Thanks
Florida?
Yes!
What camera and mic are you using to record?
Hello oh: Using a gopro 8 black with the mic that came on our comminications kit from Lexington model B4FM, thanks
LEXIN, no Lexington..jaja
When it comes to performance both bikes are about the same dr350 could have a little more kick but they both are great bikes, also those hand guards I really nice I have a pair and I recommend them. Great video by the way
Thanks Scott
Looks like a day of trespassing to me. If bikes were allowed to be there than trails would be there .
Nice hand guards, can you share where you bought them and model #? Thanks.
Handguards were purchased via ebay..www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-Black-Motorcycles-Handguards-Handlebar-Hand-Brush-Guards/253045000398?epid=23005351052&hash=item3aeaa848ce:g:nXAAAOSwpINZaGwQ
@@knobbsdc-4358 Thank you. Fun videos. In a different video I noticed you were looking for a lock set, I found this on eBay for you, search for: Yamaha XT350 XT 350 1988 OEM Lockset Gas Cap Helmet Lock Key Upper Clamp #RAS
@@markh4408 Hi Mark, yeah I got the OEM set some time ago, only thing is the ignition key and the gas cap, helmet key lock cylinder are not compatible, went to a couple of motorcycle locksmiths, they all told me the same thing. So I have separate keys for all locks, kinda sucks at the time, but I'm already used to it. Thanks man!
Fun videos to watch. I like the rack and bag, can you share where you purchased them? I just picked up a 93 XT 350, looking forward to the same fun. Thanks
The rack I picked up on eBay, It was hard to find,in fact the 2 forward ends pointing towards the seat were too long and I had to cut them down to fit. Just used a hacksaw. The case I got at Harbour Freight, It's water tight and had to drill 3 holes in it to line-up with the rack mount. Works great for extra tools and cell phone storage. It also has outside padlock mounts if you want to extra secure your goods.
Aloha brah.
Aloha back to you man...
Any log you raise off seat an put body position back on seat!!!
Yup, we're just pretty much a couple of disasters having fun...will keep up the practice.
How much more of a performance advantage would u give to the DR.
Well, off the top I can tell you the DR lighter, more compact, has great suspension AND an electric starter....a define thumbs up.
Where did you find the bike cause I've been looking for that specific bike. I love the look keep making videos, j love watching them!
Wow,I just reD you post, sorry for the delay reply. I found the XT350 posted on Craigslist years ago. When I went to see it it was nothing like the pictures posted. I followed the owner in back of his house, inside a carport buried behind a cement mixer, 2 lawnmowers, a cement dolly, some old ladders and some other stuff he un-wedged the bike which looked like a plaster of mud with 2 wheels. I thought forget this and was ready to walk away, still I asked him if the bike even ran, so many parts were missing it was very disappointing. Anyway I pulled out a screw driver to turn the inginition on since he had lost the key...he engaged the choke and kicked over the kickstart one time and to my amazement the darn bike fired right up. So I test road it and made a deal, thru it in the back of my truck. Took it home, completely dismantled the bike and 3 months later put her hack together with all new missing parts and I've been enjoying it ever since. These bikes are truly hardcore machines an so reliable even after 29 years.
@@knobbsdc-4358 thanks for the reply i actually found one about a month ago paid $1400 usd for it its got 4300 miles on it and its in almost mint condition i will be starting to post videos of me riding it on my channel soon. i love the bike and mine sat for about 20 years and it starts up and runs awesome. it would be awesome to ride with you some day!!
Great job! Wow what a great find. Solid deal for a great bike. Well, I'm in Florida. Give me shout, your welcome to join us for a ride 😊
XT350 definitely goes over 70, but the vibration is nuts. Feels likes she's gonna explode.
Naaaaa
Hello, You have a very nice xt 350! Mine is a 1987, great bikes. At what altitude are you riding, and are you running the stock jet sizes? I like how quickly your revs are dropping, maybe mine is a little lean or yours is a bit rich :D. Just a tip: Don't ever forget to turn off your blinker! Especially the right one! Because someone with a car waiting for you from your right side, will see the blinker and will think that you are about to turn right, and he will go, in order to make space for you. The left blinker is not so dangerous as the right one, but still. Ride safe!
Hi Kamen..I'm at sea level here in Florida not to far from the coast. My jets are stock, I haven't found a need for any performance mods on my bike except for the suspension. Yep, I do often forget to turn off my signal light. I have to continually remind myself it has to be turned off manually. These bikes are great for just a out any type of terrain, super reliable and very inexpensive to maintain. Thanks for your comments. I appreciate your views man, enjoy your ride and be safe.
@@knobbsdc-4358 How is the market for new original parts in the US? Here in Europe I struggle to find some plastics around the chain, and new exhaust and some fresh rubber parts for the carbs. I like to keep my bike original too, but lots of discontinued parts. I ride in between 36m to 800meters above sea level. Stock jets too, but my exhaust has been changed, welded and a with a smaller diameter than the stock one, yet my bike is still running a bit lean but I am not done in tuning the carb air/fuel screw.
@@KamenKachevWell, I've been able to find pretty much about 99% of my needed parts on ebay. What I do is when I see a vendor selling parts I may need, I always write to them asking for any other parts they may have but not yet posted, usually they are happy to respond with in a day. As far as your air/fuel mixture...factory setting is from a light closed position, 2 and 1/8th open, less is ok,more us not, that's it. Then don't ever touch it again. I'll see if I can find a used parts vendor for you and post it. Most new OEM parts i have found in the UK or Spain. Only part thats been hardest to find has been the carbs, I have an extra one as backup. Thanks

More XT stuff please!
Hey Tim, thanks for the request, next time we go out I'll swap helmets with Alex so we can get more video on the XT with the gopro for you to enjoy. But I gotta warn you, We just picked up a Trials bike, the front caliper was sized and we're also rebuilding the master cylinder, parts should all be here by Tuesday and both Alex and me are hot to ride the thing..it's a GasGas 250, so watch for it.
MY 99 Dr 350 is hard to keep from losing control on highway. Not meant for speeds higher than 60 really. Maybe it's my aggressive nobbie tires.
Definitely, I would suggest avoiding highway if at all possible but if you must for reason's you may be forced to, then try keeping it at around 45mph. Thanks for sharing,
The Dr is much better, I had both, top speed doesn't matter about such kind of bike
Hi Bernd, that DR is definitely a quick. I like them both m, the DR350 with the elec start is a super sweet and the handling is superb which inspired me to upgrade the suspension on the XT350, she now glides thru practically anything we throw at it. Really, they both have qualities i want when we're out on the trails. BTW, we just picked up used Trials bike in hopes to practice sharpening ou enduro riding skills, watch for it in hopefully in the next coming weeks. Thanks for your comments.
i have an '85 xt350 has 24,000 miles and still starts on first kick and runs like a dream. Definately not for the highway/freeway, though.
Agreed. It was my first time on the highway, the bike has Kenda 270's 50/50 dot tires which were to my surprise pretty stable. My XT350 is #1 choice 95% of the time I ride, very dependable and comfortable to ride all day.
Hi there. Two beautiful machines, simple and reliable. Missing to ride mine, i have the Dr 350, with the mirror's you talked about... Totally worth it. I've you want to see it, here's a link to some photos of it on my Instagram. Kepp having fun. Stay safe 👌 🤘 instagram.com/p/B66XRpNhLFW/?igshid=1lu798bddpgaw
Impressive seeing your 91 xt350 pull at those speeds!
Well, I gotta tell you it was a surprise to me also, I had never ridden the XT350 on the highway before.
Jajajaja...that was fun man
