This animated video tells the story of the struggle of American marines and their allies to liberate the Guadalcanal archipelago from trapped Japanese ground troops. Japanese troops were isolated on the island after the Japanese emperor decided to withdraw all troops from Guadalcanal, after suffering successive defeats in attempts to capture Henderson air base. This operation to withdraw all troops apparently had leaked to the ears of the Allies, as a result the Allies preceded the Japanese evacuation operation with a clearing operation of Japanese forces on Guadalcanal. Very nice diorama,EXCEPT what are we looking at? Is it the Americans versus the Japs? Or are the tans supposed to be British? Maybe you could add some flags (you can make your own from paper) to show who is who. The viewer HAS to be able to make sense out of the action. I notice a lot of stopmotions lately where the producers seem to forget this.
