@@E3E3E3E3E3 I joined some battles at 21CW, about 2008/2009, I remember Dikkie ;) I didn't play the first battles at 21CW, not this particular one.It's nice to see tho, great times in BF2, loved the 12 hours 32 vs 32.
@@amfohr I never played the bf2 21cw tournaments I only play the original desert combat tournament on bf1942. When bf2 came out they moved to bf2 but I stayed with bf1942 because that is where my heart was and still is. Sadly 21cw is now dead and I think that's because of the fact that all of the newer battlefields were not capable of supporting mods it literally killed tournaments like this. Because there was nothing new to look forward to at all, you were just playing the same game you already were playing.
@@E3E3E3E3E3 I played Medal of Honour before BF2 so I kind of missed bf1942 but heard great stories about it. The BF2 mod was pretty special indeed, I also worked on modifying maps for the battles, not creating new maps tho. It was also special because there were not many similar games played compared to nowadays. I think it would be hard nowadays to have that many people committed to play I guess for a whole tournament because attendance started to drop at some point, people did not want to commit anymore to practice, just playing a match when they felt like. There are also way more alternatives nowadays. Nevertheless it was a great time and happy to have been part of.
