Thanks for the video, is the roller head easily removable? Either temporarily or permanently, for if i wanted to mount it somewhere other than the stand it comes on?
@@hellonoko yes it is so that you can adjust the height.
I bought this today and no matter what, even with settings put on hammer drill, it does NOT do the hammering motion. Whats the trick?
@@sheridanatwood513 it's not like a straight hammer drill. It has a lighter feel to it but if it's not doing that action I would take it back. I mean you can definitely feel a difference between the hammer and regular drill. No matter what you buy sometimes you just get a dud. It sucks. Sorry.
Dude! show us the inside of the machine!! Thanks for posting : )
@@AdamPray-p2h sorry if I didn't get you a good enough shot of the inside. The machine is back at the customers so I can't get any more pictures of it. Sorry.
Pretty nice job it will last a couple more years
@@rogertaylor8615 thank you I try to do a good job for my customers.
Im jealous, my wife wont come anywhere near my shop, let alone help me!! Lol great videos
@@Ca21431 I'm lucky. My wife helps taping on my reviews and whenever I ask her when she's around. Also, she actually helps out when I ask. She says cutting parts isn't hard and sort of likes doing it. She has done it on a couple of jobs that had a lot of parts. The only thing is the temperature has to be just right for her to do that. Not too hot or too cold.
How thick is that steel?
@@Ca21431 it is 1/2" thick.
Great video! I know you've been welding alot longer than me but I'm curious, my first thought was a couple beads with 6010 then mig the cap? Would that be wrong to do? I'm still trying to learn all I can. Thank you
I would welded up with 7018 be stronger than mig
@@Ca21431 the MIG wire I used was 70S(same as7018) which is a stronger tensile strength that 6010
@@jeffcarr923 with how open the root was I knew I could get full penetration with MIG. If it would have be more closed I would have used stick.
Awesome I'm learning to weld this was cool to see💪🏾

great job on trailer
@@johnnavarro539 thank you.
They make those trailers so cheap but that’s a good thing it keeps you busy 👍
@@petes7796 yes they are cheap but it didn't help that 1 ton of pellets wacked into it. They didn't have the pellets on far enough so when they disconnected from the hutch the pallet slid back into it.
great review
I like this channel because the production isn't in the videos themselves. Simple editing, simple narration with you talking to the camera, the work goes into the jobs. I want to learn stuff and this is a channel where real lessons get taught. Thanks for uploading
@@austintalley4070 that is awesome to hear. I try my best with the editing but I just don't have the skill. I try to be real with what I say and what I build for my customers. I'm still learning myself.
What the tennis balls for ?
@@Detectingmadness I'm not sure what you are talking about.
Great video and great demonstration
@@wemcal I'm glad you liked it.
Should of used ranite 35s 1/8 inch at 125 to 140 amps it will last longer than 8018s
@@jeffcarr923 it was what I had on hand. The customer had just asked for the bucket to be reskinned so this was just something extra.
The ones you used will rust out before they wear out
Yeah, good job the beads of weld help big time with weargood call👍
@@petes7796 from what I had heard and seen before I thought they would. Nice to know I was right.
great job
@@johnnavarro539 thank you
Yeah, excellent job. That’s what you have to do to fix stuff like that. You can’t polish a turd, but you can sure make it keep on working👍
@@petes7796 spend a little to get more use out of it is a lot cheaper than buying new. If you liked this one, catch the video on Thursday. I think you'll like that one too
Sorry, i have to disagree with you on the flux core, my dad used fluxcore on many bridges and buildings during his lifetime!!
@@Ca21431 no I could be wrong. It's been a long time since I was out in the field. For the last 10 years or so I was in shops. I just know that Flux Core is a lot more temperamental. I've had a bad breeze in the shop cause wormholes. Personal I would rather stick weld outside than Flux Core but in the end it's always up to the employer.
Can you do some on thin metal like auto body
@@jeffcarr923MIG is the preferred method in most auto body shops. You don't weld on it solid. You are pretty much doing tacks like what you see me doing when I fit stuff together. If you try to do continuous welds it'll warp the thin metal.
@@jeffcarr923 there is one I did on a front fender in my kids car when I had to replace it. It had been in an accident and the replacement from the junkyard the bottom portion was rusted. So I cut the one off the bad fender to put on the new one. If you check my Facebook page you see it on there.
Great job! Here from Ryan. The items you made for him are really cool. The little ones love their necklaces by the sound of things! I'd love to see how you made the ring for Trish! Thought I'd mention it as a video idea if you 're ever looking for something different to do!

@@slashsplat thanks for the feedback. It's always appreciated.
What size cup are you using
@jeffcarr923 on this one I'm not sure. I think it's an 8. As you can see it's the clear cup and wasn't marked. It made it easier to see the weld.
Enjoyed the video, ive been thinking about a backup mig welder and from my research ill probably go with primeweld also!!
@@Ca21431 I've been very happy with mine. Nice machines for the price.
Welding makes the world go round.
Why bauer? Im sure you can build one 50 times stronger!!
@@Ca21431 you are right I could build one but with these couple of tweeks this one will do what I need. This way I can spend my time on things I want to make.
Subed as well.
No caps for the water or drain holes in the plate ?
@tjs_welding_and_fabrication you are right I should have thought of that. No excuses.
@HoodTimeWelding not sure what climate you are in but where I am we have to think about water freezing in railings, posts, etc. I know just capping has its downfalls without drilling a drain hole in the bottom plate into the tube cavity as well. I do both. I created many cut files for my tube caps square and round. So cutting them out is super quick. Even if I have to create a new cap that I don't have it takes a few seconds anyway.

How do you get this much work? is it people in the town you live in?and how do I go about starting up a small business how do I go about and who do I get ahold of to do that
@@jeffcarr923 I've been open for 2 years just over 1 year as a LLC. It's taken a while and a lot of word of mouth. I'm also post everything on my Facebook page and cross posting to 8-9 local pages. The town I live in is about 7500 people. There aren't any small shops like mine. Everyone else in the area only wants to do bigger jobs. I'll do anything even 15 minute jobs. Sometimes this leads to bigger ones. Lastly, I'm very cheap but I have slowly been raising my rates as my reputation has grown.
Do you have to get something from the town to start a business
@@jeffcarr923 when I went legit and got my LLC I used Zen business so I knew everything is filed properly. I didn't want to miss anything. Then for local I called city hall and got help figuring out who I had to call. For PA it's Berkheimer who collects local tax. You'll have to find out for the state you live in. Zen business is a little pricey but they file your LLC with the state and federal and you get your tax ID number. I only used it to set things up and no longer use them. There are other ways to do it yourself this was just what was easiest for me. Any more questions let me know. I'll try to help.
I from ny
You'll have to look into it because I'm not sure what is required for NY. Sorry.
