This youtube video is the only known artifact I can find of this guy. He's obscured by some singer of the same name. This Gino Vanelli had an entire fusion album can't find anymore . All original fusion type material. I thought he was as famous as Stephen Grapelli or Joe Venuti. But this is all that can be found of him. Lost in the abys of history forever.

I too have followed Gino since his first album. He is great as ever. However I feel his band has let him down. The drummers timing was behind at times and technique in relation to the original studio recording musicians has a lot to be desired. Guitar and keyboards the same. It seems they were borrowed musicians. The hard edges on all the songs have been smoothed over removing a lot of the dynamics and details of the songs. Drop the Reggie beat from the the river must flow. Original was perfect. Take the Reggie beat and compose a new song. May I suggest travel with a personal stateside drummer, keyboardist synthesizer player at a minimum. The horns and bassist did a great job. Gino still has the moves. I love and enjoy all of his compositions.❤
