Carmel looked a LOT different back then. Barely any roundabouts in sight! Seriously, though, this is great footage of a time gone by 🙂

I remember bringing a cassette of his 50's work for him to sign at The Place To Start a few years before this. Saturdays Night's at TPTS was such a great time.

Most, if not all, of this footage was shot at the corner of 28th and Meridian. I recognized the Marott Building at about 3:15 in, as well as another building that was seen further down Meridian at around the 2:11 mark. That second building is now an Ivy Tech building. Also at the time, Meridian Street doubled as part of U.S. Route 31's route through Indianapolis (as seen by the sign that said 31), as certain streets back then (Meridian Street, 38th Street, etc.) were multiplexed as certain state highway routes.
