I have a mod i use called "Alex's Mobs" that adds other animals into the game

oh another mod you can try and add is called thaumcraft, has some cool magic stuff about it plus it has some cool structures and biomes like the taint biome which is all just corruption. Some other good mods are applied energistics 2 which is a fantastic storage mod. it does require power so ender io is a great mod to pair with that. Applied energistics 2 is a storage mod where one 256k storage modual is 265k individual storage slots but has a cap on 63 types of items can be stored in it so at the max its a ton of storage.

Also spider webs are AMAZING traps for them, maybe chuckk a few up around your base like traps (the giant mods, like sirenhead probably wont be trapped by it tho). Spiderwebs will slow ones like GoatMan and the cartoon cat, giving you a chance to escape or fight back. Needed items I've seen from other players: - Shield - boats, have 2 so you have a backup. -dirt blocks to build up with in a pinch. -water bucket -get in boat to run from the goatman, he cant swim and will despawn if you outlast the attack. or hold up your shield and try outlast until despawn. -stick to the water and the edges of landmass so you can always boat out - tower block up high and remove lower blocks to avoid entities you cant run from (except sirenhead lol) -a 2 block wide moat around your house with a trapdoor bridge can maybe get the weeping angels to just fall into the water. Get the "Better Copper" and "Ore Excavation" mods, so you dont have to keep hunting for only iron, and can instantly mine whole veins of ore. copper is more abundant and this mod lets you make armor and weapons from it. I've seen a lot of horror mod player using these. Especially the ore mining one, as any time spent mining is a risk.

Maybe remove some of the more OP mods after encountering them a few times. Importing yourself a starter house would be cool. Or maybe just finding a more interactive map, with pre-set mods?? It might be a good idea to "isekai" yourself into one of those maps as part of the story. @ForgeLabs has a bunch of pre-made mod packs you could just add the horror mods into along side that? In a world like yours, giving yourself a bunker to start in is fair enough, especially when things can one tap you

hey if you want a decent inventory mod you can try JEI or Just Enough Items. You can also you the mini map mod since it comes with death points. If you want a decent tool mod try adding Tinker's Construct. Your tools no longer break they just become broken and can be repaired with the right material. with an addon for it you get the ability to level up your tools and can put modifiers on them like diamonds emerald lapius redstone quartz.

you can do the command /gamerule mobGriefing off and it should disable creepers blowing up blacks as well as any mob destroying blocks in general like doors.
