It might interest you to know that because of the issues regarding the show, as well as his inability to create anything as successful as PaRappa (the sequel and Um Jammer Lammy didn't do as well as the first game), Greenblat effectively dropped out of the video game industry. He and Matsuura tried to make a comeback with Major Minor's Majestic March (a Wii game where you lead a marching band with a mace (that baton thing those guys leading a drum march hold)), but it wasn't very well received. But for the most part, he's just stuck to his iconic art. Last time he got anywhere remotely involved in games since MMMM was when he expressed disapproval for PaRappa's addition to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, the Smash-like for Sony's PlayStation.

Nice video. XD is one of, if not my full favorite Pokemon game in the series. So it's nice to see more people talk about enjoying it. I'm not sure how much you are into the mod/ROM Hack scene but theres this one of Pokemon XD, called Pokemon XG: Next Gen, that I feels fixes the critique you had about the game being too easy. I tried it over the course of the past couple years and things are quite a bit more challenging but not to the point of being overwhelming like other infamously hard Pokemon ROM hacks. Helps that it also expands on a lot of other features XD brought to the table. I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of Pokemon XD and is willing to put the time into figuring out how to set it up. Also, that comment about shadow Pokemon designs reminded me that shadow Pokemon do exist in Pokemon Go, but they missed a perfect opportunity to bring back the XD 001 design when releasing Shadow Luiga... on the bright side every shadow Pokemon in go gets red angry eyes ontop of an aura. Which isnt much, but it can be kind of funny when they make shadow Pokemon of particular eye types or are typically known for being super friendly.

This video came out at the PERFECT time! I'm reliving my Parappa the rapper phase and I've been scouring the internet for anything Parappa related. Somehow I always manage to find new Parappa content every time I relive this phase like- I didn't even know the Pj Berri show was a thing until 2 weeks ago

I'm mixed on some of the anime episodes. Some of them have good hooks while some aren't that interesting~ Still they are all worth a watch since they were almost lost media at one point~

One of my comfort shows I used to watch as a kid! I always found the animation charming, iirc production IG worked on the anime which was kinda crazy! Pretty good vid going over a obscure part of gaming history. I also recommend checking out the animal crossing anime!

I enjoyed the first game & it had a lot of cool ideas, but the second game is where I really liked the franchise a lot because the second game improved & did things better than the first game. I also enjoyed the cast of the second game way more.

The best way to describe the difficulty curve. Is the fact that it can feel more overwhelming if you play XD first. Because there is too much to take in, all at once. With Colosseum feeling like a more condensed challenge if you play it second. But the way most will play is kinda like how many played Persona 5 to Persona 5 The Royal. Playing the first will give you just enough to take in so when you play the next. The new mechanics come in at just enough of a rate. For you to bend the game over your knee.

I really wish they would have continued this series on the Wii, Wii U or switch, but sadly Nintendo & game freak don’t care about the series. This series most definitely needs to come back

great video as always. i think the lack of difficulty was the reason I never really went back to XD as much as I did the first game. I also felt the wild pokemon was undercooked, but I get it from a balancing standpoint. It almost feels ike if you were going to add catchable non-shadow pokemon, then there should've been a bigger pool to choose from.

JSRF is my fav game of all time. I’m a jrpg super nerd and play almost exclusively JRPG’s but for some reason JSRF is my #1 above all else

My hopes for JSR3: 1) I want it to be a retelling of the story. JSR was good but lacking in story. JSRF was even better but needed to be longer or better show characters' intentions. 2) Make sure the camera functions well, unlike JSRF, which sometimes didn't let you see where the next jump is headed. 3) The sondtrack slaps iust as hard.

Im a simple man I see Jet Set Radio I like, originally it was in hopes of a new Jet Set Radio BUT IMA STILL DO IT LETS GOOOO!!!!

I'd like to also see the characters have more personality, they kinda did in JSRF but I'd like to see the characters have more dialogue, interacting with each other and grow throughout the game

Personally, I really do hope the trailer for JSR3 is just early footage. Cause that shit looking bland as hell boi! The level, they showed off is no where Dogenzaka Hill. It def needs some more style. It doesn't have to be low poly to do that, either. All you have to do is look to other cell shaded games like Borderlands. Or Sunset Overdrive, isn't exactly the same art style, but it nails the punk rock aesthetic. Talking Sunset Overdrive, I think the best possible thing they could do is put a PSO NGS level character creator in the game. With the rise of "Jetsonas" and how many people were inspired by JSR's art style. They'd be stupid not to. I think if they want do a LSG game a good character creator, with weekly challenges that unlock cosmetics, multiplayer out of the box and free map updates/events. Would kill. They also have all the maps from other Sega properties that people love. That with a little tweaking can easily be turned into Jet Set maps. I could be perfect. I just don't know that I trust Sega to do it.

i think that they saw bomb rush cyberfunk and they said they can keep the cel shaded , we are going ina new direction . japanese are kind of contrarians in that way . i knowand love their culture but well the guy that made beautifull joe and devil may cray is straight out anti american
