Those weren’t really beta versions of the Guardians. The Guardians you saw in-game have actually stayed the same since the beginning of development. The original reveal trailer was mostly for hype and speculation, and not showing off what the world would look and play like as a finished product. Nonetheless the trailer is still awesome.
