i remember how much i struggled to beat nergigante on my own would def watch more :D

I could be late with this knowledge, but I figured it would help you against Nergigante in particular. When you don’t have your weapon out and you’re sprinting nearby a monster, you might notice your sprinting animation changes sometimes. This is important. When you need to dodge an attack you know you can’t get away from, like Nergigante’s big Divebomb attack, sheathe your weapon and face away from him. Once he’s about to slam, start sprinting AWAY from him and hit the dodge button while holding the sprint. This will give your character a big dumb dive animation that has almost complete invincibility frames. This is how you’re meant to dodge a lot of really dangerous/wide-reaching attacks. Good luck.

Edit: also now that I've watched the whole video, here's some tips to improve your hootin' n' tootin': - Try to keep a maximum uptime on your impactful songs (Attack/Defense/Health/Speed/Stamina boosts, Earplugs, Divine blessing, Self-improvement, etc.), Health Recovery, Antidotes, Sonic Waves, etc. are very situational - You can chain the second hit of forward (W) + right-click with any note to shorten the time it takes you to get the notes required for a song. - If you use right click without moving your character is only gonna hit once, its better to to that in some situations. - You can roll as soon as you finish playing a song, you don't have to let the horn play all 3 songs, if you need to dodge, dodge. - You can roll *before* you start playing a song as you end the first swing when performing, again, if you have to dodge, dodge. - You can use Performance while standing still. - You can perform an Encore (in any direction) when using Performance again after any song. - *Your Self-improvement song gives you a speed boost, 15% attack boost AND makes it so that your attacks don't get deflected when Encored or played twice (purple).* - 3+ notes songs will have a longer Encore animation than 2 notes songs (Self-improvement/Echo Waves), you can use that to your advantage when playing multiple songs at once - You can stack damaging abilities (Impact Echo Wave/Echo Wave Dragon) with an Encore. - You can stab with the handle by holding backwards (S) and any note after any note. It doesn't do much damage but the animation is shorter so I like to use it for the double notes which have longer animations. It also does cutting damage, not a lot, but it still is something to keep in mind for weird scenarios where you'd get stuck where the tail is or something.

Love HH, at the end game you can have a collection of horn to counter anything in this game,it's such a flexible weapon.

I was helping a fiend of mine through the game one time and when we saw Zorah he said "my lawd a sthnapin turla" and now I think of it everytime I see him and it brings me great joy.

I love the hunting horn so much. It is such a fun weapon to play with.

Hunting horn is accually preety good in damage and its good for cracking the head ^^ and its not that hard. The Hardest weapons to master are Charge blade, and Insect glave. Don´t get me wrong, these weapons are ez to learn but hard to master.

How is hunting horn the hardest? 2 attacks for each button/button combo, neutral or moving changes which of the 2 you use, they all just chain together no combos needed, and if you play in a certain order (which is showed on screen at all times) you can hit RT to play songs and get buffs

Horn is so damn good in capable hands. Turned AT Velkana into easy mode, I have killed AT in multiple groups, but when a good horn player joins it's just amazing how much the success rate goes up. Everytime I mounted AT the horn player boosted my stamina so I didn't get knocked, kept the group healthy, kept that cold blight off so our stamina wasn't garbage, put in that DPS. Just don't know how they do it. I have looked at playing one but I am admittedly basic, so sns perfect rush, or LS, dual blades, and Insect Glaive for me. Easy move sets. No charge blades, no horn, etc. too complex. I have to save some of my brain to remember monster move sets, not enough left over for complex weapons.

Calling Horn the hardest weapon hurts me. Ive been maining it exclusively up until the Monkey Boy.

I always hear about HH havingnlow usage. Wyvernians always tell me we're 13th of all weapons. And LS is overused. But honestly, every time i go multiplayer, i meet some combat dooter and LS are not more common than any other weapon.

Here's some tips I've learned along the way for hunting horn: -After every attack you can press "C" or left trigger on console to do the spinning attack which does alot of KO damage -Stack up songs and when you have the chance "when the monster is down or isn't moving encore your songs it'll do massive KO damage -Encore basically is when you're playing your song you can play it again for better buffs or extends the buff plus like i mentioned before deals a lot of KO damage Also to play your songs faster, attack and then play your song+ if you do the walking right mouse click attack you can play another note in between the animation just spam the note you want to play I hope this helps I'm still learning this amazing weapon myself

imo, i must disagree with HH being the hardest, amazing video, but i disagree with the choice tho it also depends on what you consider "hard", as in either hard to learn or hard to use

Hunting horn is definitely the most threatening weapon. And once you play it, it’s not that bad at all
