Wouldn’t the seals in the manifold be damaged from the heat of that torch? Suggest a wet towel be placed to lessen the impact. Or, better yet, solder first with the fittings removed.
Not necessarily. I don’t put that much heat on the fittings.

That’s a bad ass set up. I use a bucket with like a canvas wrap thing around the outside of it. That is better.

@@FrogsArmyMom i’m actually dealing with the Milwaukee rep down here on doing some sort of bad ass packout set up build on the next van I buy. I’m meeting with him May 23 to see what we can do. I want to design the van from the beginning with pack out in mind. I’ll obviously have to pay for all of it but they’re going to work with me on the dimensions of the interior and see what kind of packages they can put together. I will probably be adding two or three vans in the next few months and I want to get them all a similar set up so I can build systems for these guys.

Nice clean work. I’m glad that where I live expansion tanks are rarely encountered. It’s just another thing to go bad and I don’t think they look very good. We don’t have many check valves on our water supply systems.

What happens if you find a lot of sediment in the water? Call the plumber? Or can a homeowner handle it
I would just flush as much out as possible. All of it isn’t going to come out anyway.

The crossbars on the drain have broken on Probably a good 1/2 of the tub drains I’ve tried to remove

@@PlumbingRight I charged $395 for that when I did residential. People thought it was too high and I’d tell them “maybe, but maybe not”. Shit falls apart 1/2 the damn time so I price for it to be a pain in the ass. Although I am pretty good at getting broken ones out now lol.

I try and keep up with all the new stuff. I hated pex at first but a lot of smart people figured that out and the shit really holds up. Same with pro press. I’m trying to embrace the new stuff as it happens. I’d like to find a way to quit using so much damn cast iron lol.
That’s true! There’s not a lot of PEX in my area. Just copper and CPVC. Maybe I’ll try PEX one day. I just have flash backs of the old gray water pipe that breaks 😂
@@PlumbingRight that quest pipe was for awful. Have you ever seen IPEX triple layer pex pipe? Don’t ever cut it or you’re fucked. Had to repipe a whole house in an instant because we cut it and there was absolutely nothing that would connect to it.

Are the handles interchangeable with each of the options you showed or would you have to replace the whole thing (not in the wall)
Each handle should be a little different. Some might fit each other though
So if I have arthritis in my hand and can’t turn the handle all the way what would you suggest in getting to make it easier to turn off the hose bib. - could I replace the knob and not the whole hose bib?
@@Frbid2lvme You would have to get a quarter turn hose bib. The whole bib would have to be replaced.
